We weren't really missing that many of our normal PL starters actually. Barton, Adel and Traore all unavailable, who would you add to that list that you think would've played normally? Terrible performance from us today. The fact that NW played so many PL starters suggests he feared a defeat would hasten his departure. Contrasts with his attitude toward the league cup and this competition last year, when he played a truly weakened side. We're in big trouble now Ali is out too.
Did you listen to the game Cerny? He was our best player. Even in the final 10 at Norwich i liked his positional awarness, the way he lingered on the shoulder of the last defender. More of a concern is that we'll be without: Faurlin Barton Taraabt Traore For the Newcastle game..
Norway we're a prem side but we were made to look sEcond rate today by a div 1 side. I couldn't take this game as a positive at all
Cerny, Hall, Hill, Derry, Smith, Dj and Macheda wouldn't normally start. That is 7 players, Mackie would be 8 but he has been a regular up until now, hopefully no more.
Didn't go to the game, but the radio commentary suggested he was our most threatening player. Good movement and dangerous crosses. sounds like he played off the left mostly, so looks like he may be played out of position by NW if this continues.
I was going by the BBC commentary that said he was the one bright spark, but knackered when taken off because not match fit. Agree, I'd be interested to hear from those that were there..
Dowie said he improved when he was put out wide, but was very poor while he was in the middle. He also said that it looked like his teammates seemed to be getting fed up with him.
Fair point, although I would suggest that Derry and Mackie can be considered regulars. Hill and Hall have also featured fairly often this season too.
...SWP I would like to add and these 4 players would have made the difference of course. I am not happy with the performance (what I heard) but we did not lose. We will have to take on some more quality players but QPR does have the money now.
Macheda looked ok but rusty, however he ain't ever going to score withOut any service and there was very little of that on show today. A very poor and lacklustre performance I'm afraid and if thus was supposed to be a turning point in the season then god help us
Fair point. I'm tending to be a bit negative on the idea of attracting quality in the transfer window, however.
Agreed, but none of them would start if everyone's fit and available. Don't think todays eleven was much stronger than against Rochdale in the League Cup. QPR: Murphy, Orr (Harriman 31), Taarabt, Bothroyd, Perone, Connolly, Ephraim, ****tu, Andrade, Cook (Hewitt 73), Rowlands (Derry 71). On second thought, that's not a good team
Derry and Mackie would. Mackie played virtually every game for the last however many week since his injury; Derry has played the last few too. But all in all I underestimated the amount of changes we made.
Not at all and in comparison to previous years when we would fight tooth and nail to get a draw let alone a win. I for one just want the team to start to fight for results and run themselves into the ground as it doesn't seem like they are at the moment. We deserve to be in the PL but the only way we can stay is to go out and show no fear and have a go at teams.
Amazing how many members on here are beginning to see the light.NW,s has lost the dressing room. The players look like they havent got a clue whats supposed to be happening.Team selection, substitutions, tatics sorry NW suppoerters but hes lost it.If you didnt think we were in the s**t before you know now.
