I've no doubt you will, most people on here are quite civilised despite occasional rows.

    Enjoy your Sunday, I will.

Ha’way mate. Is there a person alive who hasn’t made a mistake. Burge played fine apart from that mistake, but it could still have been cut out before they scored as it was from the halfway line.

I was directly behind Burge and it was obvious he knew he couldn't stay on his line, if he had it was most likely a goal and he'd be blamed 100%.

But he knew he had little chance of reaching the ball and, if he did, would clatter the striker.

So he went flying out, and the striker waited to be hit while ignoring the ball which was lost.

The people around me made similar comments but I suppose the angle you see these things from make a difference.

As you say that's also a clear error of judgement from our defender who has totally lost the man.

Don't be stupid! If it hadn't been necessary for Burge to collect the ball from their previous attack the goal wouldn't happen.

Were you in line with Burge and Neil and do you think Neil was in any danger in receiving the ball.

So why is it not a level playing field, and why is it you always sticking up for gutless Armstrong, there are much worse posts on this thread than he ever said but that poor ****er gets banned, however nothing is done about the other posters who have done worse and cause much bigger disruptions.Even now its disruptive so much so Nig is having to ask them to drop it , This is a mods job to come in and calm things down, not to hide and even like the posts which he does often when he clearly shows bias.
As far i am concerned carry on im out, squabble between yourselves.

Surely when Burge came out to the edge of the box the defence had made a mistake or two to let their player through.

Thats your version, show me these snide comments, he gave an opinion which went against your version and you didn't like until you called him a liaryou called him a liar there were no snide comments

    pablo ist post
Hasn’t made a single senior appearance? I genuinely thought we had signed the next Roberto Carlos the way some were going on.
That aside, 1-1 draw I reckon. Wouldn’t be a bad result down there if I’m honest.
Patterson has to start for me, if so, then I have hopes of a clean sheet. Having a good keeper will separate the wins from the draws this season.

    smug
Your first post, on here, is a dig at Sunderland supporters.

    smug
Do you think you might ever manage a post where you don't have a pop at Sunderland supporters?

all i see is you causing disruption then blaming him as he has a different opinion if you dont 'like it ignore it but you cant

and rather than this turning to a slanging match for difference of opinion again im out of here, cant be arsed with all this **** A mods job is to stop this **** not stir it up all he has to do is say calm down lads, time out but he has never done that instead he hides there is only one comment from him on the match thread and that is to ban

Roger, be honest, you're 'out' because you've been told, on the board, to butt out.

As for your response I'll answer and then we can hopefully leave it there and let people talk about the match.

Firstly I wasn't defending Armstrong at all, I very rarely ever do, and all I said was to put him on ignore along with anyone else he feels is bullying him.

I don't choose to defend Armstrong because he doesn't need a fairy godmother as you are with Pablo. I often disagree with him and say so on here.

As for @Nig with @Dancingstripes and @marcusblackcat. Two posters are arguing about a Sunderland keeper and an incident at the match this thread is about. It's not the job of the Mods to end discussions or ban posters for having different opinions. In any case one of them is a Mod so you should be blaming him, not a Mod who may not even be on the board, on a Sunday, or hasn't had anything reported. That's not hiding, they're not on here 24/7.

And now I'm out so the thread can return to what it is and I can watch the Newcastle match.

    There you go.

No need to have a snide crack at people and I wasn't the only poster who pulled him on it.

Players make mistakes throughout the game.

But the goalkeeping spot is crucial, because their mistakes directly lead to a goal.

That’s why it’s important to have a good goalkeeper.

Look at de gea at Utd, he’s been dropped because of his mistakes. Because mistakes by goalkeepers cost you games.
