I’ll make it easy for you. If burge doesn’t make that mistake, does the goal happen? A simple yes or no.
No. I’ll make it easier. If the cross is cut out before getting to burge, does the goal happen? Why not blame the full back fir allowing the cross? Or do you only go back far enough until it finds someone to say negative stuff about? If Neil goes to the ball instead of letting it run past him? If he takes one for the team? If the central defence are more switched on? Why are they not relevant questions? All of those happen AFTER the bowl out by burge. All equally if not more to blame for the resulting goal. It’s not like he rolled it to the forward to score in an empty net which is the way you’re going on.
If my aunty had a dick she'd be my uncle If their keeper hadn't fluffed a save we wouldn't have gone 1 up when we did. Anyways it's boring now . We won. I'm moving on to the next game
So I answer yours but, because I make valid points to refute your argument and say there’s more than just burge to blame, you ignore it. Pretty childish
end of discussion for me, we know we need a better goalie but if we don’t get one in then I think the management have got 100% faith in burge for the season. I just wish we could stop all the he is/he isn’t crap and just support whoever pulls the shirt on
Yes, nice to see the new lads doing well, great that Cirkin got a good spell of 70 odd minutes and performed well whilst not up to full fitness. Lot of positives going forward.
After you admit the goal wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for burges mistake, there’s no point carry on with the conversation mate. Whatever point you make after that is irrelevant. None of that happens without burges initial error.
Why is burge’s the “initial” error? Did he roll it directly to Robson? Or did he roll it for Dan Neil to take a touch by coming to the ball? If the latter is true then it’s Neil to blame. Neither of us know. You just choose to blame burge when there’s a multitude of players who could be blamed. Which I ms why I can’t blame burge
no one can honestly answer that, as no other scenario took place therefore we only know for sure, one outcome. i could put a few more 'ifs' at you suggesting various other scenarios which could all be correct, or none correct...all of which would deflect the blame from burge as there were numerus possibilities that could have happened, but then, i can ignore any other mistakes to leave the one scapegoat. the fact is, if someone is willing to choose one specific point in a game and ignore every other mistake (some make several) then it starts to look like you have an agenda and will flatly refuse to listen to any counter argument (as you have proven with previous replies), had other mistakes not been made we may not have scored 2 goals or we may have scored more, the game is full of mistakes at all levels and as i keep saying the problem with a keeper is that often his mistake will lead to a goal even though he makes far less than the rest of the team, we could also say if neil had got the ball that he asked for and gone on a run then we might have scored from that throw out.
I looked at that a coupke if times. If he hadn’t come out the striker was clean through on his own and would have had time to control the ball. He put the striker off and it goes down as a save in my book.
He doesn't, some people have simply decided that's the case and won't consider the alternative. ... ... as Morse often said to Lewis, don't make the 'evidence' fit your hunch. I'd invite anyone to watch the 90 minutes and concentrate entirely on Burge. You'll find he probably makes less mistakes that anyone else but his, and he does make some, are more obvious. Patterson makes mistakes but people ignore them because they want Burge out, that would be a mistake in my opinion.
To be blunt Roger what he does, week after week, is post snide comments then ignore the responses. His entire aim is to get those responses but, as with the claims about you and him calling for months to get Sanderson chosen, he can't answer back because he's lying and has nothing to come back with. He has endless digs at other posters, and Sunderland supporters, so is it any wonder why people are sick of him. Is he bullying people when he's insulting them, and putting them down, or is it one rule for him and one for everyone else. You're always telling me to put people on ignore so why not tell him to put Gordon on ignore, me on ignore and everyone else who respond to him, or is it one rule for him and one for everyone else. You come on here, and cry to the Mods, protecting this specimen when it's obvious he's not the Sunderland supporter he claims to be. I don't know why you do it but you'll find you can't bully me, or anyone else on the board, into tolerating the clown just because you want them to.
Now if you are talking about poor keepers, iirc we had one recently who made the same horlicks twice in the same game. The opposition had a two free kicks in a similar position, left of the pen area. Same player hit the free kicks with a bit of left right bend.. easy routine saves, he missed twice. Now that was very poor... Budge is nowhere as bad as that!
Hello guys, Just so you know, I've just banned Pablo. I'm getting PM's now from him on his situation on here, It's a Sunday ffs. I've already told him clearly to speak to his mods, they make the rules for the Sunderland board, not me - I now need a rest from him. I'll give him the day off, so he can realise it's not so easy to get back in the gateway. Also I get some peace from this ongoing saga, hopefully. Roger don't even think about sending me a PM mate, thank you. Soz site admin brb
