Mitrovic - Officialy A NUFC player

I'll still be calling him Penfold. He looks like Penfold.

And of course we were always going to invest this window, we had no choice. The question still remains, though, will they spend enough/bring in all the players we need? If it's like every other transfer window under Ashley, then the answer will be "no".

 

We are still short of where we need to be. Investing in Mitrovic and Gini is a good sign. Thats all. We are still relegation battle candidates at present squad wise IMO. End of the day we have still to sort out the achillies heel and we all know it. Mbemba will help but it won't change everything. We need a quality centre back of 24 yr old plus as a priority.

Hopefully Penfold can sort out the minimum of 2 defenders this window. They know the score though and now they are actually investing, they should sort it out. If we've blown our budget on a midfielder and striker, I'd question our sanity.

 

I can see 5 or 6 more players coming in, however before you shoot me down, I think 2-3 of them will be first teamers i.e. Mbemba etc. I reckon we could get a couple of 18/19/20 year olds.

Interesting to hear Mitro's comments about him being number 9, where does that leave Cisse? Id be quite comfortable with him leaving as long as we bring in Austin, but i would prefer Riverre to go and have the option of Perez - Cisse - Mitrovic - Austin.

finally, I think i read on twitter Mitro is 33/1 to be top goalscorer, when comparing that to say Ings at 66/1 or Lukaku at 40/1 or Hazard at 25/1, booking are putting him right up there!

Mitrovic rules the pitch (chant). Just like a new-born he will take a lot of feeding to produce at the other end, however I don't think the team would be best served if he is used as a lone striker, we need Austin.

Now for Austin, plus 3 defenders and then get shot of Willo, Gouf and Riviere and I will be a very, very happy man.

Not going go hold my breath over that though, before you too excited.
