The guy is clearly mental, and needs a goal soon more than Riviere ever did! The longer he goes without scoring, I reckon he'll just get more frustrated and lash out stupidly again like on Saturday!

I find this picture disgracefully sexist and think he is bringing the club into disrepute. I much prefer to see pictures of our players enjoying themselves on educational wildlife trips (like this one):

Actually took me a while to notice the dolphin (and the player).

Hes got a bit of the joey Essex about him.

I'm not sure Mitro is the full schilling, I mean it, there's clearly something wrong with his head. He reminds me of a simpleton from my childhood days in Birmingham called "mad malek" this fella walked the streets all day with his walkman on nodding his head... Despite the fact his walkman had no batteries or even a battery cover.

Definitely a mistake and the reason nobody bigger wanted him

You know having watched the replay of the tackle I am more swinging towards it being a soft red card. His foot was up and he did rake the bottom of the lads shin and onto his boot but still a yellow card and a warning should have been enough.

I think the only was we are going to get anything out of him is to instruct him not to bother tackling until the dust settles. I know this sounds daft but the refs are clearly just waiting for him to do something and the card will just pop out as soon as a poor tackle comes in. He is going to be tarnished with the same status as a certain mr barton.

Being physical as a striker, in my mind, means being tough, getting in the little digs and nudges constantly. Running around tackling like Lee Clattermole's blind cousin is not being tough. Shearer/Costa/Drogba know what it means to be the big man up front. Get too close, it'll probably hurt. Too far away, it'll probably be a goal. It makes it really difficult for defenders, but the above I agree with - Mitrovic needs to be told to avoid any lunging tackles and not even just short term. It's not disparaging - Paul Scholes was one of the worst tacklers the PL's ever seen. If you're just not good at it, don't do it.

The funny thing is, of the ex footballers that are adamant it was a red, most had pretty shocking disciplinary records themselves. Robbie Savage, Martin Keown, Ian Wright spring to mind....

Think they all got away with worse tackle in their careers. For Wright to say what he has today in the paper and on twitter is quite frankly an embarrassment and proves what a tool the guy is. Was this the same Wright who did tackles that were worse than that in the same game against Man Utd.

I think he looks a complete tool in that t-shirt and l really hope he grows up and does it quick. Cannot believe we are taking such a gamble on this idiot, when we could have had Austin who is a proven goal scorer and professional.
His start so far has been poor and he has let everyone including himself down big time, complete prat and not fit to compare himself to Shearer.
He may well be a "lads, lad" but l for one am extremely concerned that the club have made a big mistake with him.
