Brighton have bid £15m. When Lee gets into work at around 09:30, then after his morning dump, facebook check, quick shuffle then coffee, it should be accepted.

Gives us 5 days to bring a player in. Lee doesn't work weekends, remember.

Anyone else getting that Carroll feeling?

£15m for a player that will clearly always warm the bench under Rafa seems like decent business to me, if it allows us to strengthen the team. Rafa just doesnt fancy the guy and i cant see that ever changing. My worry is, as it always is in these matters, that its Penfold that is tasked with making this happen.

Rafa coming out today to say Mitro not going to ANY EPL club unless its £50m so I'm hopeful he will get a start on Sunday and show why he should be starting games instead of being cast aside for the Horse and Donkey we are currently using.

Screw breaking the club record for a striker GIVE THE LAD A CHANCE!

I'd be inclined to say let's give him one last chance. If he was still at Anderlecht and we were linked with him for £20m, we'd all be screaming at the club to get the deal done.

Certainly I'd rather give him a shot ahead of bringing in Jorgensen, who inspires absolutely nothing. However, we need another striker anyway. Joselu is ****, Gayle's worse. I'd offload the latter, I think he's got no interest in being here.

The thing is Rafa wanted to sell Gayle at the end of the summer window but he refused to go. Wanted to stay and play in the Prem with us. I think we had possibly accepted and offer on him.

Gayle is way out of his depth.

I don't think he's played at the level he was at last season - certainly the first half of last season. Something's not been right. Ultimately, I think he's good enough to be a EPL squad member for a bottom half side but not first choice striker.

He’s been on a see food diet. Sees food and eats it.

Swap him for Cairney and play Mitro. If Rafa insists on playing 1 up top then Mitro is the best striker at the club for that role. Joselu wins **** loads in the air but that’s about it. Problem is we’re not quick enough to have anyone around him to pick up his flicks/knock ons. Mitro and Perez linked up pretty well in Mitros first season with us and I think Perez would massively benefit from having a target man next to him as well. Maybe we’ll see it on Sunday !

Have to say its bizarre we've not seen Gayle/Mitrovic or Perez/Mitrovic all season given that game towards last back end when it looked a great option. You can't play it every week but plenty clubs are playing up two up top at times this season. Most of Leicester's success is based on it.

Agreed, think we’ve had gayle and Joselu a few times but that’s like ****ing see no evil here no evil! Mitro and Perez up top, Ritchie or Shelvey directly behind them and Kenedy out left and Atsu out right...just wish he’d try summit different for a change. Hayden and Diame ain’t summit different, that’s just plain ****ing stupidity!

Outstanding - me and Hung are now 3 out of 4 right on the other thread, and I've only just had brekkie and one coffee!

Looks like it's gonna be a successful day after all.

Erm. Everybody?! It's all over everything, Chron's got it on their site too.

What I find brilliant is Rafa said of Kenedy "glad we've got extra creativity to get more crosses in the box", about 6 hours before the best header of a ball we have has gone out on loan.

    Carlsberg don't do transfer windows.....

Assuming that this is not complete bollox, then I can only assume we have agreed some sort of deal with a striker from somewhere. Despite the fact that he never plays him, I cannot see Rafa agreeing to Mitro going out if nothing is coming the other way. Unless Rafa is planning on walking tomorrow of course.

We look seriously ****ed like. Everyone else around us is bringing players in. I bet Charnley and Ashley are just sitting watching ****ing SSN whilst Rafa takes training today.
