Hull City has been for sale for a while.
It needed to be more widely publicised to get as many interested parties involved as possible whilst maintaining that the current owners don't really want to sell.

Well due to the mad old bastard I think that has been achieved on both counts.
I have visions of Ehab talking him into it and pushing the wheelchair to the door.

I doubt many billionaire oil sheikhs were listening to Radio Humberside today.

I bloody hope not, anyway.

It seemed to me his mission was to make clear he has not gone back on his word.

The earlier part of his statement was focused on the 'walk away within 24hrs' pledge he had made. Not only did he put the club up for sale, but it was within 22 hours - almost as if he had outdone himself! He repeated this a few times and it was though he must clear his name.

He would be best advised to not make such stupid statements in the first place.

According to David Conn No appeal has been made and The FA are also not aware of such appeal. If it transpires that the appeal has not actually been lodged yet it will be another hole for Allam to dig himself out of.

Yep cause the best way to get word around that you're after selling is to tell everyone that you'll give it away for free if the name change is rejected

There were far more there than just radio Humberside.
The story of a mad old football owner losing his marbles is gold for the press. In the reports will be the message that Hull City AFC is up for sale.

Job done.

Would that be the rejection that cannot happen because it hasn't gone in?

I suppose we have to take his word for it. But if he was trying to sell why didn't we hear anything about it from anywhere?

It is in every news paper and sports news feed out there now in the UK and overseas. He has just put a very large for sale sign up if you like.
