Funnily enough, every time these countries get democracy (ie the system of governance that america is determined to impose on every nation in the world come what may), the population vote for the least american leaning candidate : kharsi in afghanistan, assad in syria, hammas in gaza, morsi in egypt, and usually america's response is 'agh well, just bomb the ****ers then'.
