Senderos was sighted at the Cottage yesterday during the game against Charlton. Apparently he is still a Fulham player!! However no news when he will return to the squad.
Just a thought, one possible explanation about Senderos could be linked to his recent conversion to Islam. As we discussed in another thread, Muslims who are also professional footballers are often flexible in how they observe Ramadan (which lasts for a month, ending this Saturday). Perhaps Senderos, with the zeal of the new convert, doesn't want to bend the rules and is keen to 'do it properly' this year. If that's the case it could explain why he is (a) absent from playing duties at the moment and (b) why the club isn't explaining his absence, the same way that they kept a respectful degree of privacy over whatever personal reasons had Duff and Baird each missing some games last season. I have absolutely no inside information on that, nor any media sources to support it, but it occured to me this morning and it makes sense of the available loose threads. Maybe.
Looking at the squad post the transfer window, and with Halliche gone, kind of got me curious again about the whereabouts of Senderos. One of papers today said he was out with an ankle injury - the actual problem seems to vary in description from time to time. If he's broken something, whatever it is, why don't the Club say so. There has been nary a peep or mention of his name at all since last seaso. My curiosity is concerned.
Senderos,as Andy Johnsons doppleganger,i fear he may have developed a penchant for his physio couch, but whatever,i do not believe he can be any solution to our present lackluster defensive problems.
