There are better things to get livid about friend. Martin isn't as big of a deal as people think.

Ruddy has just signed a new contract and said how much he loves the club! No chance that he will leave! I'm more concerned that Rudd and Steer will be upset by this!

I think as a keeper you accept your going to have to be patient and wait for your chance. Ruddy had to wait, he had plenty of good loan deals too...

I am sure you are all correct and I hope you are but I just can't understand why Bunn, who seemed guaranteed to be number 1 at Blackburn within the next 12 months would consider it to be a good career move to move to be ' understudy ' competition ' ' number 2 ' - whatever description you prefer - to a current young England goalkeeper or why, when money must be getting a bit tight and at least one striker is required, CH would consider the signing of Bunn to be a priority.

Bunn's contract is for 2 years (according to all reports). Declan should be thinking "I've got two years to get myself ready"; and Jed needs to be aiming to be a fixture for the Under-21s. If either of them is seriously "upset" they are not the level-headed youngsters we all believe them to be. <ok>

On reflection I accept that ' livid ' is an over reaction but what the hell is he still doing here? I just don't understand it in the same way I don't understand what CH is going to learn about the Premiership potential of Adeyemi by sending him out on loan again to another struggling Div 1 side.

There must be a lot of players at Blackburn praying for someone to come in for them.

It may be a struggling Lg1 club but it is a club where he is appreciated and loved and whos to say you don't learn more when things are going bad.

As for Martin, he hasn't got long left on his deal anyway (6 months?) we won't get any cash for him, so whats the use getting rid of him? we haven't got the cash to bring in another striker so why don't we just sit on it till January and reassess then. I think it really is a personal issue now with most people though, he's been cursed by a big section of the fans and I don't think he can ever win them back regardless of how well he plays.

Still doesn't explain why it is a good career move for him especially if, as many people suggest, he is only here for 2 years whilst Rudd gets experience elsewhere before coming back to replace him. Redruth has also just made an excellent point on another thread - Rudd and Steer didn't count towards the '25' but Bunn does.

If Bunn comes in and covers for 2 seasons, doesn't get one cap, and the experience Rudd and Steer get comes to fruition, their transfer value will increase and we will have effectively made money.

One thing that has been ignored is that, although both keepers are talented they are young and easily have 15-20 years ahead of them. 2 years isnt exactly going to mess them up... BUT have you thought that in the next 2-3 years they will both be looking to get 1st team football, but here we wont be able to gaurentee that not only for 1 but both of them so although we have paid £1mil for Bunn imagine what the value could be for Rudd and Steer after a couple of decent seasons were we to sell them in the next 2 or 3 years, probably a lot more than what Bunn has cost <ok> You only need to look at how much Clubs are willing to pay for Jack Butland!

I have no doubt that Adeyemi will learn something but I can't see what CH will learn about his Premiership potential. If we go into the campaign with only 4 strikers and Martin and Morison are 2 of them then God help us. We must be struggling on the 25 man limit and I really don't want Martin to be one of them. If necessary let him go for free and get his wages off the books and hopefully sign another striker and also try and get a young striker on loan from a decent Premiership club to make up the 5 needed.

There is quite clearly another striker in the offing and I think we should hae another look in January. Interesting you mentioned Morison and Martin, public enemy number one and two.

Put them the other way round and you could well be right. To be fair Beefy were you happy with the talent shown and effort they made last night when they should have been out to impress? Moving back to Bunn I can understand how it is a good move for the Club - subject to the 25 man limit - and can understand why Rudd and Steer might benefit in the long run but I just cannot see how it is a good career move for Bunn to come here and provide cover for Ruddy for 2 years when he was virtually guaranteed to be number 1 at Blackburn within the next 12 months. If he wasn't considered good enough to succeed Robinson then why have we paid £1m for him? The only other explanation I can think of is what I have mentioned before.

I wasn't at the game last night so I can't be too bang on with my opinions, unfortunately it will go down in history that I wasn't at that home game for the first time in godknows how long because a certain king scored. Anyways, Martin and Morison always get the same abuse so I wasn't surprised, the opinion I've got is pretty mixed on them tbf. Like how Morison went down injured and everyone thought he was having a paddy though, or should I say everyone "Hoped" he was having a paddy.

It's obviously a plan to get these two kids out on loan, it's a long term investment and a unique opportunity to develop either a future number one or a lucrative sale or both. We aren't in the champ or below anymore so a loans out (loaning a keeper from abroad? could be a complete minefield, especially if we looked in Australia) so we have to fork out a bit of cash. We don't want to spend over the return for our investment in the two youth guys so we invest in a keeper thats almost made it and , for whatever reason (personally, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Blackburn atm. It's a mess) wants out. This guy could do a job if required but equally simply by minimising risk he is earning us money everytime he sits on the bench. If he pushes for a first team spot then thats Ruddys bad! I don't think anyone is above dropping, even if I think it'd be highly unlikely as Ruddy is a legend.

this is a very good point. through them getting first team football on loan elsewhere their values may increase and they may wish to further their career at another club. some may say that club should be norwich but we will only need one of them long term (if we do at all) so its important that they do well on loan somewhere.

Don't really understand the uproar with Mark Bunn signing in all honesty. It's providing more competition for Ruddy and enabling Rudd and Steer to gain experience elsewhere. Simple as that.

He probably knows he's not good enough for us, I would imagine its more for the player so he can earn a move
