People keep coming up with this statement with absolutely no proof. Farnan initially offered, and is still offering, the same as Cellino i.e. ~£7/8m + clearing the debt. He claims to have backers who can take the club forward (with Pearson involved Wilkinson is likely one), while we obviously don't know who, and should remain cautious, they have every reason not to reveal who while negotiations are ongoing. Farnan, Flowers & Co. being "potless" is a narrative that's been invented purely to counter any opposition to Cellino.

They were involved long before the eytie,yet didn't buy, Doesn't that point to them not having the funds? They also offered 8m upfront,then staged payments, Hardly seems they have spare cash to take the club forward,let alone buy back ER and TA.

On the surface it appears to be purely a move to block the Cellino takeover, and that's it. If and when they succeed in taking control of the club we'll be owned by Sports Capital/Together Leeds (75%) with GFH retaining their share. With this many owners I doubt very much we'll be buying back ER & TA anytime soon....oh but we'll have our shirt sponsors back so not all doom and gloom
Talk about misinformation,in 88 they were 3rd division and had 2 back to back promotions,getting to the 1st division in 1990 hardly established.
I don't see that GFH have any out from selling to Cellino: Agreement signed (apparently), Funds transferred (apparently), Congratutory text sent by GFH chariman to Cellino (apparently), FL approval (apparently done). How on earth can they step away from that and sell to someone else?
Look, regardless of how much money Cellino has, how he will fund a team, etc etc etc ... the bottom line is his treatment of McD was dreadful, showed a lack of integrity and a lack of respect to our club and our supporters ... we don't need this disgraceful man running our club, there will be revolt in the stands ... Leeds fans have made it clear Cellino is not welcome, we will drift along with **** managers and **** Italians playing for us until Cellino gets the message and sells up ... can we afford this? Did he treat McD as bad as Leeds fans did at Rochdale ? easy to see why an outsider would think McD WAS NOT WANTED.
Can we afford not to? He's the only one who deemed our club worthy enough to stump up £25m of his own money whilst these so called Leeds United loving businessmen stood by and showed how little they cared
