Trouble is, we have to create 15 chances to score one goal while we give them away left right and centre, Traore giving the ball away and then Green s chocolate wrists let the shot through.
Fernandes should have acted at least a month earlier. As for business acumen our owners were born very, very rich, Lakshmi Mittal the Goldman Sachs board member included.
I said all along he should have been sacked before Reading as wed only mess up that and the Saints game, wed have had at least 5 more points if they acted earlier and would be within a win of getting out of the relegation zone.
I would have been really happy with away draws at Sunderland and Wigan and a home win against Villa. Going by this, if we can somehow win at Wigan we will be back on track. I know it's a very simplistic view but we can't expect to win every game we play.
We just need a win, any win, by any score just to break that duck. Wigan are no mugs, we'll have to play better than yesterday...
Exactly ............ We are not done yet. 1 - Keep in mind that we won a number of unexpected games at the of last season. 2 - Wigan were gone for all money last season and they blitz it at the end of it. 3 - The main point for us is that the 5 or 6 teams just above us keep losing ........... that will certainly help ............. but make no mistake, we ain't dead yet! 4 - I'm not quitting on my team.
Thats exactly what i said on the way back, we have to win at Wigan to get back on track, win again a totally out of form Fulham and WBA and get a point at Newcastle and things look so much better. Our season will be decided before the Liverpool game.
In simple terms we need to win three games we would have exprected to lose or get seven or eight draws where we expected to lose. Sounds easy put like that but...
Agreed. We're in big trouble. We needed 3pts big time yesterday. There are no easy games in the Prem. Playing at home goes not guarantee anything. What Harry had to do was come in and lift spirits, make our players play as a team, tighten us up at the back and somehow start scoring enough goals to start winning games. He was never going to be able to do all that in one week. Nobody could. I think we have seen enough improvement already to know that at least the players are now trying. Our first win will come soon but whether we can put enough points on the board to stay up is unknown.
Im sorry just cant see it happening - we have only 6 points.... I can see see Harry being "close but not a cigar" and we will end up third from bottom with a superb fight - just too little too late chaps My god i hope im wrong......... The villa result has confirmed the planted seed in my mind and im sure in many others as well.....
Guys, given that there appears to be universal agreement on this board that the Rs are in the **** with the odds of avoiding relegation stacked against them, there's effectively nothing to lose that hasn't already been lost. So we might as well all enjoy the ride for the time being. There's 23 games to go and a transfer window open in January. Even if the Rs don't buy, there's still the option of recalling loan players or bringing back into the squad players that were out of favour under Hughes, but that Harry might get more out of. The microphone might be in the middle of the stage. The orchestra might be taking their seats and tuning their instruments. But Adele has yet to enter the building, let alone clear her throat.
I'm with you on this one Uber. I didn't give up last year and i won't give up this year...at least until its mathamaticaly impossible for us to survive. Btw, forgot to say to you a few weeks back...I remember 'Charly's War' In fact i've still got a copy of the graphic novel somewhere...great comic series
Good post that. On the same theme, with little now to lose, I believe we may as well attack a lot more, home and away. No point dying wondering imo. Give Taarabt the freedom to hurt the opposition. BTW uber...Mrs rangercol says the orchestra packed up and went home after the fat lady had finished her encore weeks ago!! (Hate it when she's right)
you dont want to know what mrs kiwiqpr thinks about us pathetic losers they just dont get it over here keep the faith unleash the hounds and even though i thought we would be upper mid table (damned project with fancy signings) 17th will be just fine
