Did Chippenham have a sell-on clause? Brett Pitman played for us for a couple of seasons - he is a goalscorer, but contributes little to the team play - not sure he's the most popular person in the dressing room. Pitman aside, I can't help thinking you have the better end of the deal though - £8m for a left back - a gamble by Bournemouth IMO
Yes...when I first saw this I expected the TWTD forum to be in meltdown, but it wasn't...barring one or two everyone seems to agree that we've done well with this.
I don't think Garrido is tall enough. By the way ITFC you have well and truly pulled Bournemouths trousers down with that sale. 8 million quid for a lumbering ox who cannot pass, all you need to do now is give the money to someone who is not a lumbering ox to spend it...........oops
Carrotboy, you don't need to ''worry'' about that money,it's going nowhere but Marcus Evan's back pocket!
I'm sure 'Carrotboy' will now sleep easy in his bed. £8 mill for Mings, though, seriously? The football world has gone mad. Still, well done you. Great business. Pains me to say it, but he'd be better off staying put. Bournemouth...feck sake.
Mings is a weird one for me. I've seen him have good games for us, and I've seen other games where he's potentially been nobbing his mrs at 5am the night before a game, hungover and isn't remotely with it. His positioning is beyond bad. That said, he's English, 22, 6'5, and is raw. He COULD have a great season, and the £8 mill will suddenly seem cheap for Bournemouth. He could burst onto the international scene, and tear it up. Or, he COULD be playing conference / below footy aged 28/29. Good luck Tyrone, I wish you all the best however I wouldn't like to predict how your future will pan out.
Judging purely on his performances against us I would put money on your second option. How the hell you got nearly as much for him as Southampton paid for Ryan Bertrand I will never know. His positioning was so bad that he was probably nobbing my Mrs the night before instead of his own!!!
