Cheers Leazes.

I want one player in today to cover the right hand side of the midfield and it looks like that will be Ireland.

Please Lord. Just one but if you feel so inclined; I'll accept Eden Hazard gratefully...

I dunno, i think Hazard is a little below us... <run>

Seriously i would have a fit if we signed him, never going to happen obviously. I think we need cover on the right, i dont think Ireland will be very effective there. And a striker (on loan or permanent).

like most of you, i dont think we are desperate to get anyone, and im pretty sure ol' man ashley will never see fit to splash the cash. maybe another loan deal tho?

:steam:

So if Liverpool get £50M for Torres we get £30M for carroll and ladbrokes get £20M for number 17!

Signed HBA and probably Ireland (on loan).Xisco out on loan. A new contract for Barton, and if we can keep hold of Carroll, this will have been a good window in my opinion.
I don't like too many comings and goings as this can unsettle the squad. But we have spent around £5.5 million with an option to sign Ireland if he shows the type of form that he was capable of at Man City. I would like to see some of our youngsters be given the occasional game/substitute appearance and by signing loads of players, they would have been pushed further down the pecking order.
Unfortunatley I won't be able to unclench my buttocks until the deadline has passed and Carroll is still a Newcastle player.

pah. liverpool getting desperate now.

I still think that comment from Kenny is pertinent.

"Those who don't want to be here..."

Carroll was happy to sign a long term contract a few months ago to retain the iconic number 9 shirt for his boyhood club.

Liverpool? Can't see him leaving as they are in the same state of flux we were last year.

"1116: Rolling, rolling, rolling. The Press Association is reporting that Newcastle have rejected a £30m bid from Liverpool for Andy Carroll."
