One of the things that does raise a smile is when people request non gender specific toilets. Basically it's one toilet without a sign on it, as in a lot of Europe. For some odd reason, Brits seem to want to be specific with a badge on the door. So technically we are also an influence of gender from the first time a kid is able to go for a piss, after leaving the potty. ie you are a boy you go in the mens and visa versa. Where as in other Countries, it's just a 'toilet' no gender specified.

It's a crude way of looking at it. I'm sure we've all seen at some point in our lives, where women get fed up queuing for the toilet and go in the mens instead. Personally I'm like whatever....Think of it like disabled toilets, they are not gender specific.

I suppose in life we as the human race have created our own problems, you only have to look at sport or football being more specific, to identify with what I mean.... Take a young girl that wanted to play football in the past, nigh impossible for them. Yet today, we see TV highlighting womens football more and more, and now it's got a bigger sporting tv profile and rightly so. And that creates the influence at heart that you don't have to be a boy to play. It was always visa versa in America, they saw 'soccer' more as a girl's game. So we are really the creator of our own 'mental' gender problems, not as individuals, but as a race. Basically I'm saying you shouldn't have to cross gender barriers to participate in a profession in life. Much like female lorry drives, or female builders. As long has they can 'physically' do it, then why not. I expect your daughter looks up to you as a big strong person, and a lot of daughters turn to their fathers for the comfort of strength. You're no different Joe, you do what is naturally human, the fatherly instinct.
