Match Day Thread Milwall v Shrewsbury

    Town make the trip down to Milwall after a drubbing by Wigan.

    Milwall are sixth in the table and four points clear of the next place below, but will be trying to secure their playoff place. They like to score quickly at the start of the match so we need to be wary.

    Town are without Whitbread and NKP who are both banned for this match. This will probably mean Dom Smith and Grandison starting in defense, however Grandison is early turned so we might well see Jack Hendry at some point too.

    Milwall play a fast moving 442 and will get the ball up to their strikers quickly so we need to deal with that, ideally by getting the ball up and attacking their goal ourselves.

    Hopefully we can get back to our winning ways and help secure league one status today.

    Did not go as I am on holiday but it was always going to be a tough one, especially with our defence in turmoil. Nice to hear that MD made his League 1 debut and Hendry seemed to do OK.Perhaps Whitbread will be back for Saturday and NKP for the game after that and we need at least one win from these two to settle the nerves. Blackpool losing is a boost for us and they only have one home game (against Wigan!) left so I think the odds must favour us as (barring miracles for Colchester or Doncaster) in our last six games we need to match Blackpool's points total from their last four games to stay up.
