I have got to say it would be a good singing in my book but we would still need a big powerful midfield general too.

There's as much truth in the Milner story as there is in this crock of ****e the media have published..

    ....................................

STEVE BRUCE has been given the go-ahead to launch a £7million swoop for Sunderland hitman Fraizer Campbell.
Hull boss Bruce needs a striker in the January transfer window to boost his side’s promotion hopes.
Campbell, 25, is his top target — and he has been told by Tigers owners Assem and Ehab Allam that they will back his bid to land the ex-Manchester United man.
Former Black Cats chief Bruce spent £6m to take Campbell to the Stadium of Light in 2009 — a year after the marksman had notched 15 goals in 34 games on loan from United to help take Hull into the Premier League.
City moved to within three points of Championship leaders Cardiff with a 2-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday. And Bruce said: “We’ve got to start converting more chances — that’s been our Achilles heel.
“I like Fraizer both as a player and a boy. If anything was possible, we’d certainly look at it.”

    This totally.

To begin to describe Sunderland and the potential signing of a player of Milners quality as anything other than a terrific is simply ridiculous. He would be a fantastic acquisition for the club.

Johnson, Milner, Cattermole and sessegnon would be some midfield and the best in my lifetime.

Get another striker to play up front with Fletcher and a right back/centre half and bring on 2013 for me.

Never thought I would see the day, when we were in the position to start knocking England Internationals back. I agree about the RB and CB but the centre forward issue, I would obviously like Wickham to start with Fletcher, I believe he's done enough now to earn his chance. So get another one in to compete with them and send Ji on loan or release Saha if he's on a big wage.

He'd be very very good, but I reckon we already have a good enough squad to finish in the top 6/7 (obvs not this year)- it will come good with the players we have eventually. 442 like this is enough to take us a long way:

    ---Johnson----Gardner----Catts----Sess---

    --------Wickham-----Fletch-----------------

Can't find room for mcclean - maybe lb if rose leaves for spurs next year?

I would take a half fit Miilner over a fully fit Downing any day of the week.
