Match preview;
Our hosts on Saturday, Millwall, will be desperate for a win as they continue to chase second placed Ipswich, who they are currently only 2 points behind, albeit having played an extra game. Their top scorer is Mihailo Ivanovic, with 9 goals so far this season. Both Femi Azeez and Josh Coburn are just behind him, with 8 goals each. Their manager, Alex Neil, is looking to take Millwall to the Premiership for the first time, in his first full season in charge. He took over at Millwall in December 2024, and has since managed 72 games, winning 36 of them, so exactly 50%. After us, they still have to play Stoke, Leicester and Oxford, so two teams fighting relegation, and one lower mid-table side.
As for us, I can't decide if I am pleased we are going into the last four games not looking over our shoulders, or disappointed that we have long since lost all hope of clinching a playoff spot. I guess I am just pleased that we are safe, and secure, and have seen glimpses of progress at times this season, but nothing consistent. End the season with four back to back wins, and no doubt the mood will be buoyed going into the summer break.
Team news and manager comments to go up asap, enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...
...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
