Millwall started brightly, a couple of good chances. We came right back into the game showing some real ambition to pass the ball forward with intensity. Things slowed toward the end of the half but you just knew where Ayew was going to shoot! Interesting that he ran straight to Coops with a big hug.
This is more like the Swans of maybe 11 or 12 plus games ago. Not particularly pretty, but an effective outfit. Millwall are not a footballing side, so I think it’s a case we are likely to have more of the ball, which we have, but we certainly have more of an edge too. Well deserved lead at HT.
Exactly, ran straight to Cooper. So maybe the talisman displaying the dressing room has not been lost??..
Think Hourihane has benefitted from the players & the movement too. All round we are at last looking dangerous again. Can’t underestimate Routledge’s movement, he takes defenders out of the way..
Agree, there’s not this huge gap between the front players & also with the midfield too. We seem to be gelling as one unit, but we’ve also created our own space. Liking Naughton as an old fashioned full back today too.
