Match Day Thread Millwall v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Well morning everyone hoping for a better coached game tham wakey yesterday. Wakey coach left two strikers on the bench and started a winger (sound familiar?). We blasted a penalty straight at the goalie and missed a couple of sitters. Clay cross goalie had a blinder (sound familiar?). Wakey put a striker on with just 15 minutes left and lost 1-2 at home. Woke up peed off at the coach and the defeat (feels familiar).
Millwall is the only game i don't like over the whole season. We never come away with much and i would be happy with a draw ie 1-1 not a goal fest.

 

A touch of realism for you all.

 

I don’t like this fixture either. They always raise their game against Leeds then revert to being crap.

 

Their goalie will have a blinder it's expected by us now.

Would have liked to have seen Anthony start and Piroe up top. Might have gone with Kamara as I think they might try to be a bit physical with us.

 

I was wanting kamara to start too and bench archie to protect him. Anthony is a good call at 10.

Well, Byram should help Struijk a bit but we'll still concede at least one goal.

Rutter doesn't look like a natural finisher so hopefully Piroe will be in the traditional 9 position with Rutter given a free role to influence things.

We've had the same problem for a few seasons now. We leak sloppy goals at the back and miss chances at the other end. I see that continuing today. Hopefully we are clinical like we were at Ipswich and not the Salford/Sheff Wed/Cardiff type performances.

I'm hoping for a result rather than expecting one.

Sad to say but we actually need cooper back. How long will he last though. Anyway he's only done one session so far.

 

Well, Farke said that things will improve after the international break so let's have a look......

 

It's very indicative of the negligence of multiple owners and managers that Cooper is probably still our best defender.

Shocking considering our defensive record the last two seasons.

 

Struijk is just too soft for my liking we need a hard man in there.

Well as usual my internet is not strong enough to watch the game. There is a pub near me who will have it on but it's a bit early for beer. Except in dublin of course.
