I think we can reasonably expect West Brom & Leeds to get a point each. So we need to mind our own business, one game at a time, and get 6 pts. As you say, need to find our form for 2 big home games. PR will be thundering!
Tonight will be tough, I think Millwall have only lost one away match in the league this season. Sticking with my 1-0 Town win, but think we're going to be playing more cautiously today.
We were all pissed off about the WBA game but thinking about it we were poor at Huddersfield, Rotherham, and Brum leading up to that game, and we could have lost 2 of those games against teams that are getting beaten regularly, either weve been" found out " or somethings not right in the team, whatever it is we will have to be 100% at it tonight with everyone involved and no place for playing spot the midfielder.
I think the next two games will determine whether we've been found out, or something is amiss. Personally, i think we've been punching way above our weight this season, and we're not as good as a lot of people think. Our squad, and first 11, are primarily league one players, and that also includes our manager and coaching staff - very few have any experience at this level. Our togetherness and team spirit has won us a lot more points this year. I was never confident that we'd challenge for autos - play offs yes, but we're not good enough, or streetwise enough to stay there. We're a nice team that play good football. In this division, you need a lot more than that. If you look at the top championship teams, most have some players with premier league experience and/or managers who have been round the block several times. In saying that, i don't think we'll fall away yet. I'm confident we'll win our next two games to keep us with a generous gap to third. We'll come back with a bang tonight, and can us winning comfortably 3-0. If we lose, we need to hang in there til January and hopefully get a couple of quality signings in (CF & CB).
Cant argue with any of that stretchy, ive been saying all season that with a couple of exceptions this is our Lg1 team and management / coaching staff but we pick up points through our speed of movement, team spirit, and commitment, that why i hate it when we play slow motion sideways and backwards football, thats not what we are good at.
I’m predicting a reassuring and needed 4-2 win. Goals for Hirst, Burns, Chaplin & Scarlett, with the usual defensive questions conceding a couple of avoidable goals.
I’m fairly sure something kicked off against Birmingham between Woolfy and Clarke and it’s unsettled the dressing room.
Williams has a knock it seems. With defense rattled over last few games, and Clarke coming back, I am less confident tonight.
