    From Danny Haynes:

@ballaboydan: The MILLWALLL fans 2day was disgusting . The racial abuse I received was embarrassing. Not impressed at all!

Defended brilliantly. Deserved a point. Now sharing a few jars with a few millwall pals who are disappointed to say the least . COYR

Can anyone confirm who threw the flare? We could do with some triffic throw-ins.

Very sad to hear about the racial abuse - my Millwall friends and the many Millwall fans I worked with and shared more than a few pints with over the years would be mortified to hear of this.

Great result from the boys today! I was however disappointed in our attacking play I don't think we created one clear cut chance! Still we move on and hopefully back to winning ways next week against Brighton

I actually didn't think it was a bad game. I'm very happy with a point, we defended very well but our front two were no threat at all and Kerkar may as well not have been on the pitch, so the rest had to step up to the mark which they did. JJ had his best game for ages and BWP looked sharp in his short time on the pitch. I spent most of the second half hoping Haynes would come on and see how their large central defenders liked facing a bit of pace but it was not to be.

Haynes is ex-Millwall, so I'm sure his Millwall friends are the same.

He's getting plenty of aggro on Twitter though.

    Thanks for the report FHB

Very happy to wake up to that, keeps the run going. Not surprised to hear of the abuse sadly.

    What. A. Hangover <laugh>.

As for the game, I got the impression it was more about not trying to lose and thought at times we did look nervous in possession. The wall midfield was more combative and really drove them forward, where as whilst Jacko, Stephens and Pritchard were impressive, it was in their desire to hassle and retrieve possession rather than fluid attacking football. Cort was my MOM, but Hamer deserves a lot of credit as he was a calming presence in defence and displayed much better handling.

Hulse and Kermo was a bit.... meeeeeeeh. 2 games in 4-5 days looked a but much for the beast, but you got his usual going toe to toe with his marker and made it difficult for him without ever threatening. Hulse looked fired up at the start but as the service dried up so did his appetite and became more of a spectator (though not his fault).

Now for the crowd. The build up, and during the game was incredible. There was no denying we all had that 4-0 defeat in our head and really wanted something from this game. We sung from 14:45-16:55. I left at that time as I was meeting a few wall mates and wanted to get away swiftly, but I read about some things on twitter (racial abuse, flares, 12 year old girl in hospital etc). I was in the Marquis in New Cross as it's my local, plus have a good relationship with most of the lads in there, but some walked in and were spitting kittens. It seems a section of our fans embarrassed themselves by throwing flares (seriously, we mocked Palace for doing the same lame thing) and also chairs. The issue seemed to be that wall fans were getting word it hit a kid rather than just missing him. This idiotic action then appears to have put other INNOCENT CAFC fans at danger with fights breaking out and stories of a 12 year old girl being punched. If the story is true, then the Millwall fan is a disgrace, not just to his club, but to all mankind - what a coward who deserves a prison sentence and a few hidings. But lets not also disguise the fact that some of our fans gave the wall fans the little encouragement they need to kick off.

Sat in the Marquis, all I heard last night was whats going to happen at the Valley. It's a shame, as it did take the gloss of what my friends admitted to being ''a brilliant, battling performance - something you lacked 3 years ago''. A game where Millwall could argue they deserved the 3 points, but where we could say we deserved a point for being so strong at the back. We will definitely be the happier of the 2 sets of fans.

A great pity some of our fans disgraced the club, regardless of what anyone else did.
I'm very pleased to come away with a point but won't be watching the highlights because they were all round our goal. Maybe it would have been different if BWP had come on earlier, he looked hungry for the first time in a while and made some intelligent runs which provided an outlet and gave the Millwall defence a lot to think about whereas the Kermit/Hulse combination was totally ineffective. Also ineffective was Kerkar and the fact that he came off after only 75 minutes shows The Doctor may be losing faith in him. I'm sure he could do worse than give Harriott a game or two there. He is in the second year of his contract, and is a very positive character so I can't see any chance of him suffering by being thrown in too early. Wide left is an area of genuine weakness at the moment so why not??
