I went to the match and have to say we were very, very lucky to get 3 points. We were very poor in a number of departments. Our midfield looked shapeless and the front men struggled to find any space. I thought Elliott Ward looked slightly suspect at the back on a couple of occasions. For the entire first half we were lumping the ball forward hoping Simeon Jackson would get to it quicker than their defenders. Holty looked knackered from the start and I'm surprised he lasted the whole game (shows what I know though as he got the assist for Lansbury's goal!).

Hopefully all this was simply down to us being a bit tired after the Palace game on Saturday. Wes looked fairly bright when he came on and the changes Lambert made clearly gave us a bit more urgency.

Overall, pleased/impressed/surprised we managed to grind out a win whilst playing so poorly.
 
Don't think we've played really well for a while now, maybe since the Cardiff game but even then we didn't take our chances. But if we win a game then we must of created at least 2 good chances. I think eventually our strikers will start scoring but the fact that Wilbraham, Jackon and Martin are all constantly being rotated playing half a match at any one time probably doesn't help.
 
The performance was a bit like the proverbial "curate's egg" - good in parts. We started well, and could have had a couple, but allowed their hoof ball tactics to bring us down to their level, and then our performance suffered. I was getting a crick in my neck, following the flight of the ball as it did its impression of a moon-bound Apollo mission, and the game wasn't helped by the referee and linesmen, one of whom seemed to need the ball to hit him on the head or his arse before he realised it had gone out of play in the first half.

However, winning when you don't play well is a good habit to have. Loved the sight of John Ruddy sprinting up the pitch to celebrate Henri's winner!!!
 
Knew it would be a lucky night when I found a tenner on the way to the game. Proved to be the case. The first twenty minutes were good for us and then we fell away and Millwall gave a good account of themselves. Very big physical team and put our defense under a lot of pressure--btw, did anyone hear the Millwall fan on canary call who denied that they were playing hoofball? :laugh:--but how many times in the past has it been the other way around. Giving a good account of ourselves and then losing out to late goal. OTBC!
 
Fair play to Norwich. If you dont buy a ticket, you wont win the raffle.

I thought we did ourselves proud last night. We dominated the game in parts and had the better of the chances. Restricted you to long ball, which took a lot of the sting out of your tail, but obviously not enough in the end. We had a make shift defence and almost pulled a shocker off.

Shame our main striker went off injured, but that is football.

Thanks for the good wishes, It's Saturday on Cold Blow Lane. yes, Millwall had their spell of being on top, as we did.

I notice that nice Mr Jacket had the grace not to complain about there being slightly over the 3 minutes of stoppage time, but then again he did make a substituion in that period, which automatically adds 30 seconds to what is always stated as "a minimum of x minutes added time", so I guess he's only got himself to blame.

Could have done without him bleating about Holt diving though - the free kick which we equalised from was a definite foul, and I didn't see any other instances of diving from him (although Jackson did get booked for diving - which people on other forums [yes, I do mean 606] seem to have differing views on. I couldn't tell from where I sat on the River End).
 
Simeon was rightly booked for diving in my opinion. Although it seemed I was the only one in the Barclay who agreed with the ref!
