Good summary mate. Other bonuses were that we've learned how to deal with violent hooligans ... ... although, off the pitch, the ones who tried it on at the Sunderland pub will be on the treatment table tomorrow
It's a common trait with youngsters, not releasing the ball at the right time. That'll come with experience and age as they understand the game more. Diallo is only 20 and Clarke has just turned 22, we have to keep reminding ourselves of that regardless of their immense quality.
Don't know if it's been mentioned but it'll be two weeks off for Cirkin due to concussion protocol, sad as the lads just got back.
Just watched the highlights and noted the ball will have more air miles than a BA pilot. What an awful way to play football, thought we'd left that behind last season.
Thought it was 6 days? https://www.thefa.com/get-involved/...here is any suspicion, able to leave the venue. So potentially back for Reading but more likely QPR
He was out cold, 6 days doesn't seem long enough, even TM said Cirkin was sat in the dressing room and didn't even know he'd scored. We'll have to wait and see.
Did anyone see what happened to the Millwall player - Mason Bennett? I was watching the SAFC live stream but the cameraman missed the whole incident, Bennett had already been given a yellow and it sounds like there was an off the ball incident between Bennett and Roberts at the end of the first half. Resulting in a broken ankle for Bennett and him being given oxygen and carried off on a stretcher.
The camera just caught him going down in a heap. Will probably have to wait for the full 90 replay to see it again. All the best to the lad.
I think they missed it - Frankie and Danny were watching what was being shown by Millwall and were complaining about the camera man not showing what they wanted to see 45:43 - shows Roberts limping
Camera work/Direction was a bit off yesterday - missed lots of actual play whilst they focused on the bench, or an injured player.
When the board went up for added time - they zoomed in on Mowbray instead of the electronic board For our goal - it took about 3-4 minutes before they showed the replay.
Danny I'm embarrassed when the grandson goes down after he's been tackled, holding his ankle and not moving - only because premier league players do it
Anyone know what the message was about on the shirts during the warm up? Said something like "We're all behind you Ellis". Sorry for being thick!
Didn't see it but the Millwall supporters are saying it was his own fault, going in for a tackle he had no business making.
