Pretty awful that. You make a challenge with your feet and miss the ball by that much, you get a red. Why is this any different? Just because he’s a keeper?

Seeing our fans on twitter saying we “got away with one” with the offside. A player is stood directin the eye line of the keeper. Literally between him and the ball as a shot is taken. He moves towards the ball as it goes past him. How can it not be off side?

I've often felt that Sunderland fans are 'too reasonable'. Yes it was good that the ref saw it, but offside is offside. If twitter is right, then every goal chalked off for offside means the defending team got away with one.

Some of our fans are absolutely toxic as **** like. Everything that has been done well in the last 18 months has been completely taken for granted and all the focus on is the thing that didn't go to plan. Maybe if the "top lads" weren't "full of drink and coke", they'd be able to recognise that the quality of football that we're producing on the pitch this season is better than we've seen in at least a decade and show some gratitude.

Gelhardt debut was not too bad considering it was his first game and hardly had a pass.

Its going to be interesting to see how TM develops our tactics for the rest of the season, to bring the best out of Gelhardt. We can no longer play, the big man up front ploys. We already have experience of playing without Stewart/Simms earlier in the season.
If Pritchard plays is either Robert or Clarke dropped? Gelhardt seems quick, so over the top balls more often?

As I say its going to be interesting to see how we make good and mend for the rest of the season.
Cirkin scoring from a set piece was very welcome (although he may have a headache this morning). We will I suppose expect more from set pieces, Ballard and Baath

Not sure if it has already been said but apparently that was Millwalls biggest crowd yesterday since 1995. I wonder why that was? Could it be the mighty SAFC were in town.

Was a great spot by the referee, I didn't notice it at all until the replay. But was the correct decision and very brave from the ref.

Well I had a cracking day meeting up with friends before the game at the George. A great atmosphere at the pub. As for the match a gritty performance and a well deserved point against a horrible team who just wanted to kick lumps out of every Sunderland player when we had the ball and stop us playing football. They were hump forward at every opportunity a very big physical team who can play only one way. It was horrific to watch. Anyway Bath and Ballard were absolutely immense Patterson made a couple of fine saves and was brave collecting crosses knowing he was going to get clouted. Mitchut for a small lad got stuck in and kept us ticking over. All in all a cracking point against a team with a good home record but a horrible filthy team. Poor organisation at the end of the match by stewards and police led to altercations on the platform waiting for the train. As for the stuff with Speakman I was on that train although not in his carriage and the person responsible who was in our carriage before he went to see Speakman was absolutely off his head with drink and anything else. Couldn’t even remember the game. He was disgraceful and although I didn’t witness the altercation he was apparently moved away by train security. Absolutely no need for behaviour like that just disgusting. A hard earned well fought for point. Special mention to all our fans who were fantastic throughout loud and proud all game. Hope everyone got home safely.

Makes me wish I was 20-30 years younger cos in my travelling days it was more in hope than expectation of seeing the lads win away, now isn't that 7 undefeated in a row, never happened years ago a run like this, long may it continue.

It would've been easy for that young team to have gone behind, seen the game out and got back on the bus ...

... but they gritted their teeth, went into every tackle and never gave up.

Thankfully they have more about them than those supporters who wrote us off.

Our support, down there, was top class :emoticon-0103-cool:

    Translation:

The ref didn't fall for our **** when we kept falling to the floor in the box, correctly gave an offside decision and we disrupted the game by kicking lumpsmout of the other team but they managed to get an equaliser all in all our anti-football made for a ****e afternoon for fans!

Reading the Ronny Gill this morning and Rowett is bleating about the nailed on pen they didn't get in the 1st half (no, me either) and the terrible decision by the ref to rule out their goal (err, your lad was offside standing in front of the keeper)

It's nice to have a manager who keeps his dignity whether we win, lose or draw
