Our kid along with some other City fans were ambushed by Millwall at Kings Cross yesterday. It was well orchestrated and our scarfers were no match. Sadly he lost a tooth and suffered cuts and bruises. He missed the match but is now safely back at home.

My first away trip since before Lockdown. Saw a couple of scuffles some distance from the ground but nothing major. Hadn't been to the New Den before. It might be a while before i go again. After great away results I must be a jinx.

No it's not, at least bitd, know a a few City that had to turn back at a game in the 80's after arring at Kings Cross, allegadly 300 Wall lads waiting though if memory is correct it was for another team playing that day. It was Millwalls thing attacking Northern teams at tubes and trainstations.

Maybe old habits die hard ?

Based that on Millwall usually hanging around Waterloo to ambush Pompey, fair play if you had first hand experience of them at Kings Cross, I do remember mobs clashing all over Euston Road in the 80's when returning from Orient, Wimbledon and Brentford myself but I had no idea who they were.

Three of us went straight from work in London, and were still in suits, to the old Den and we got there late so went in the Millwall end. The fans knew we were Hull City but acted OK.

I remember going to the old Den in the early 80s on Tottys coach. We jumped off a couple of miles from the ground and walked. Didn’t get no bother, so thought we were something. About half an hour into the match, about 300 of the scariest looking bastards walked into the ground next to where we was. Apparently they had been having it with West Ham at kings cross. It was national headlines the next day. We wasn’t so cocky at the end of the match trying to get back to the coach. Happy days.

I knew a group of Hull City fans from London who were police in the 1980s and they were the biggest hooligans around.

Police still are, any excuse to be heavy handed at football. Cleveland Police dropped a man who must’ve been 80+ after the game and to make it worse he landed on a little girl who must’ve been younger then 5.

That will be cut out the recordings though…

Don't tar them all with the same brush mate, as in every walk of life there's good and bad.
