keep living up to the plank tradition..i was refering to the leicester tigers.. paranioa srikes deep...
If mills is better then Chester when on top form then why does he never seem to be on top form ? Was this post just aimed at me ? OLM - I'll give him a scarf for free surely you cant turn that down
Clearly you don't remember when we kept 4 clean sheets in a row against (at the time) 4 of the top 6?
Premier League sides bid 4M for Matt Mills, we blew them out the water by adding 1.5M in add ons on top of that. No one has even been rumoured apart from us to be looking at Chester
Nobody has been rumoured to be buying Messi but he is still the best player in the world. Oh yeah and Everton, West Ham, Fulham, Liverpool and Sunderland have also been rumoured to be buying Chester, if all them teams are after him, then the chances of him going to Leicester are pretty slim.
Well Done , was that the same season when we had the second best defence and we kept 6 clean sheets in a row, whch is a record in the Championship.
Well done, the year we had the second best defence in the league, we got relegated, and Fryatt was up front, just a heads up for you Hull fans ...
Fair play OLM ... problem with such 'rumours' are that anyone from the office cat to mystic meg can start one ... Bolton are, of course, no longer a Prem side and around the time of the article were being linked with every centre-half on the planet due to Cahill's iminent, manifest destiny, departure ....... Everton are continually linked with any championship player showing promise .. last close season they were apparently poised to bid £2 or £3 million for Sol Bamba ... which didn't materialise .. in truth we seem to have more dosh than Everton - we bid more for Jelavic - but were turned down - ended up with the booby prize - Beckford - to add insult they probably used the money they got for Beckford to boost their paltry transfer kitty enough to secure Jelavic ... damn Toffees forever getting stuck in our teeth... I'm still bitter about Lineker ...
All true, though I do happen to know that Everton did have scouts at several of our home games last season, I had a chat with one in the exec bar.
Everton have always had a good scouting network .... I was actually offered a trial by one as a 15 year old lad following a kick around game on the beach in Newquay Cornwall ... oh how I wish I was young again ... perhaps they are not that bad after all!
