Miley played well again today, especially 1st half. Gassed a bit 2nd half before going off, but he had put in a shift and did a good job. Thought he linked up nicely with Gordon & Isak.

He hardly ever gives the ball away, that is very impressive from a 17 year old kid in the centre of midfield.

This lad is the real deal.

Always had my doubts about Miley
But tonight especially in 1st half I thought he was class. Running forward with ball. Passing. Etc.
I remember how weak joe7 was. Now thinking when Miley bulks out and strengthens up.

Hopefully he stops growing height-wise now as he's probably already at the max size limit for a box to box midfielder because if he grows any taller he'll loose the much needed mobility to become an elite CM. It would be a shame if we had to turn him into a CB just because he ends up being Dan Burn's size if he gets another growth spurt.

Miley will be unplayable once he matures physically. Scary how good he is.

Its an astonishing talent for a 17 year old, for sure.

Keep him at Newcastle too, no point sending him to Abernathy or something to play against 12 year old kids

Liked dead on his feet yesterday.

He’s been over played due to circumstances.

long term if he bulks up which he will (just look at big Joe) he’ll be immense for years.

    He's gonna be huge. Isn't he like 6ft 2?

He could have a final growth spurt

His head is like a baby face in comparison to his body it’s quite odd how already developed he is.

The only thing he lacks is a little bit of pace but everything else you can see he is top drawer.

Well if he bulks up he’s obviously going to be immense although I’ve never heard Fat Boy being called immense.

More seriously he is a ridiculously good player at this level given his age. His pass to Tripps for the first goal was excellent and it was his tackle causing the ball to be collected by Barnes leading up to Barnes scoring.

Also a mention to Bruno’s cross for Tripps goal which was also sublime.

Main issue for me was that Luton had appeared to identify our lack of speed in the team generally and were very quick on countering. Also whilst agreeing I prefer Tino at LB Burn had absolutely no help from Miggy yesterday which he does get when Gordon is there and which Miggy does usually provide when he’s on the right. Main issue there is Miggy having such a poor game left Burn wide open for the Luton players countering quickly. Not saying Burn didn’t have a poor game but there was a bit more to it than perhaps could be seen by those watching on television.

Burn was ****e but agree on lack of protection. Almiron was shocking.

Is it wrong to call out the club on Almiron, by the way? We had agreed to sell him. Then within a game he's back in the starting XI. It's not ****ing great leadership.

He did well as sub at Villa and with Isak out, Barnes and Wilson not fit to start and Willock, Joelinton and Anderson all out there wasn’t a great deal of options.
