On this day back in 1967, another baby was delivered into Redland Maternity Hospital (by Tiffanys), destined for a rollercoaster footballing ride of mainly dashed hopes, unfulfilled dreams, disappointment, underachievement and misery - punctuated briefly by a 4-year purple patch, beginning with the best summer ever in 1976, but ultimately ending back where we seem to belong.......

I wonder if we will EVER see the top flight again - every year that passes it looks unlikely that I'll ever see it :(- 4 years in 50 makes it unlikely!

Anyway, out of work early now, to see if I can find the answer somewhere in the bottom of a pint of Kronenbourg.......

Mate

I drink too much (beer only, not spirits, but admittedly too much ), I eat curry and Chinese more than I should. I go to bed late and get up early to go to work - apart from Saturday when I lie in until 10:00.

When in work I sit on my arse at a desk for 50% of the time.

However, I'm still playing football, hold my own in games with guys in their 20s playing, heart rate ok and an active social life (quiz's etc).

I could stay in, drink water and eat lentils every day but I might as well be dead.

I can give you a few decades ! had birthday 2 weeks ago also ending in a "0" you would be "gobsmacked" at what my main hobby is I have been / still going to places on this planet that no other human being has ever been ! Gets harder every week but have 3 teams of mates that keep me safe.......
