Apology accepted (although the third point 'when at Birmingham' must have sounded odd!)
Ehab was at my school although I can't say I knew him

I thought original tweet mentioned he had been on the shortlist in the summer, that Rowett had worked with Robinson (who for some reason thought was our assistant), and that he had been at school with Ehab when Ehab was in Birmingham. No huge drama.

Just trying to be sensible here. I think Phelan was just put in charge because they could not find anyone else and after his good start he was kept on just to see how things went with every intention of him getting the boot if the season didn't go well. Problem is we know they probably do not have anyone else nailed on and names will be thrown into the hat who probably will never be spoken to. The Allam's forward planning is not usually up to much.

And what a waste of 6 months.......starved of help and support, so now we've one foot in the Championship and even less attractive to a new manager. I hope his backroom staff go to and leave Polo Guy and his dad to manage the team on Saturday.
He had £20m worth of help and spunked it away.

The PL is ****ter this season.

I hope all that typing of the B word was therapeutic for you.

In 2014 / 15 Brucie had Jelavic, Chester, Brady, Diame, Ramirez plus Macca, Quinn, Figeroa, Rosie and Ben Arfa who he totally ****ed up -

the only changes Phelan has are Marshall, who was Brucies man, Odubajo, never played in the Prem and out for the season, Mason, again Brucies man, Keane, another Bruce man and out for the season, Clucas, first season in the Prem , playing ok but not a patch on Brady, Diame, Ramirez, Henrikson, no idea who recommended him to Ehab and Mbokani, ditto but with only 48 hours to sign anyone it was a miracle we got anyone

the point being all this vitriol towards Phelan yet Brucie was no better /actually worse

ps - the last time we were in the Prem the only differences were Newcastle, Villa and QPR replaced this season by Watford, Boro and Bournemouth - hardly ****ter

Not any new manager. The ones people would want would no doubt expect a budget, but there'll be another Phelan somewhere who's desperate enough.

It depends what the motivation behind the sacking was. I tend to think it was a desire to save guard their £70 million loan. To do that they need to stay in the Premier League. To do that they need an experienced manager, preferably one with some Premier League experience, and some players to bolster the squad.

If Ehab has anything about him most of that work will have been done already.

Alternatively he may just be useless. To be honest I don't think he is useless, but the next few weeks will tell.
