Impression I and many other got was that the judge felt he was guilty but the law required much more than the evidence on show to make a conviction. Suarez? What is the difference between Suarez/Nani and Terry/Ferdinand? And, did'nt J.T. ADMIT in court that he swore at Ferdinand. That in itself is Terry saying "I did it" End of it has gone on far longer than it should have. WHY did John Terry wait until it went to court to admit anything. IF I read things correctly that is?
Suarez also admitted to saying something to Nani and was punished by the Football League, rightly so.

You are correct in the NFs presence at a considerable number of clubs during the period. Pompey and Everton fans used to give dreadful abuse to black players during the period. That was muted when those clubs signed black players of their own.
