Next Tuesday night More 4 are showing the Mike Tyson Documentary, it's been on tv before but if you havent seen it tune in, it's very good
Best fight i ever saw was Hagler v Hearns. Only lasted like 3 rounds but bet they felt like they had fought 33 by the end Round one was the only time i've seen two top fighter absolutely go for it from the first bell!!!
Pope, don't ever use the words Bugner and Class in the same sentence otherwise I'll start to think your boxing knowledge is up there with your knowledge of football. **** sake... he had to gie the game up because of his hands.......the refs kept stonnin on ees fingers.
Ordinary Harrison is going to get his arse handed to him on a plate. This is just a warm up to a proper fight for Haye but its been predictably hyped up by Sky. Boxing is pish anyway. UFC is the way forward I'm thinking about taking up some Jujitsu, my Krav Maga trainer was going on about it the other week, looks good.
to be fair Rocket, the worst thing that happened to Bugner was beating Our 'Enry..the British public and press never forgave him also, he went the distance with Ali & Frazier
Pope -What makes you say he cheated to win his first title ? The only cheating was by one of the judges who called it as a draw.Duran had Leonard on the ropes from early on and was well ahead according to the American commentators who were not known for their partiality.
Shut it fannybaws or I'll come up there and unleash what I've learned Although you'd need to throw the first punch or kick cos I only know how to counter so far
Oops - sorry - should have read your post properly. Yeah Duran was a devious **** but most brawlers were!!
I still say Rocky Balboa's the best pound for pound fighter the world's ever produced. please log in to view this image One of the best fights I've ever seen.
Frazier kicked his ass in menilla. Ali's corner were seconds away from cuttin his gloves off but Frazier's corner threw the towel in. Frazier hasnt talked to them since i dont think. Ali collapsed when he tried to stand up
It is boring but grappling is what happens in fights, at least in UFC its technical and not 2 wee fuds rolling about in the street. I dont mind it that much cos there's a lot of skill to grappling. Its an aquired taste though, a bit like safety play in snooker The submissions are great, not as good as a clean knock out but always fun seeing a big tank getting tapped out. I remember that Brock Lesnar's first UFC fight, someone got him in an ankle lock in the first round and he went away greetin like a big lassie. He's improved a lot now though so I wouldnt say it to his face
