Unspectacular, solid even. Not yet living up to the publicity though. I think he will, before the season is done.
Hadn't played in central midfield before coming to us and admitted it has taken him time to get used to that position.
Young lad, complete change to his lifestyle, I suspect, and culture quite apart from the actual football - so it will take him some time to adapt to our game and country. I suggest that we will not see the best of him until he has settled in - which will probably be next season. Sometimes I think we all (including me) expect far too much too soon from these lads. He obviously has class judging by the video clips and it will emerge eventually - take Troy for example. I hold my hand up and admit that I could not see him making any impact in this division, let alone taking it by storm. How wrong could I be?
None too shabby at all, I certainly like him. I will say this much: Layun is arguably the most eagerly anticipated debut goal scorer since Lloydinho.
