Agreed RER, but I was thinking more of Canos and Maddison and yes, Canos has made sub appearances. Just seen this, so not long to wait to find out who our next opponents are - The EFL Cup Round Three draw will take place on Wednesday 24th August 2016. It will be shown on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Accrington Stanley versus Burnley, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
Sergi Canos sounds a bit like Nathan Redmond...except he's tenacious, doesn't let his head drop or become anonymous - and tracks back to help his full back £2.5m in exchange for £11m. Happy days.
Redmonds already named in terms of the next England squad. But yea, ok. Canos 1 start against League 1 Coventry in the cup, yet not trusted in the league proves he's an upgrade!
Let's hope AN has seen enough to either give him a place in the starting 11 or at least around 30 minutes as a sub.
The test for Canos will lie in his development over time. At 19, he seems comparable to Redmond at 19 as an attacker. The difference for me is that he is a more complete player in his tracking back and other play as well, something Redmond still hasn't managed at 22. That is what has kept him out of the England team so far. Time will tell in both cases.
Not a lot of love for Naismith's "contributions" so far since he joined us from Rob Butler and Greg Downs? Quite the opposite, in fact
It's not FML you need to convince though, is it? In the post-match interview, AN did say that there had been several excellent performances tonight to give him selection headaches for the weekend. But I suggest we wait and see Pinto hamstring tear, out most likely 1 - 2 weeks.
I've been watching Sky Sports News for 1 hour and 15 minutes, and they still haven't even mentioned the Norwich game. How can you not even mention a 6-1 win!? I've seen the Chelsea, Liverpool and WBA Highlights twice now. ...And now another advert, and in the "coming up" still no mention or clip of the Norwich Highlights.... If anyone sees a video of the Highlights somewhere online, can you post them, because I need to go to work now.
Absolutely agree. Redmond was so frustrating, as was the abuse received if anyone dared to criticise the lazy sod.
