We went to play Cardiff last week in a friendly, in Cardiff, and they didn't even get a shot at goal. They also have a few players we released in the past, such as Naylor and Marshall as well as few other lower team SPL journeymen. This is a team which reached the play offs last season, with that evidence alone I'd say Celtic would do more than ok in the Championship.
To be fair Cardiff last season had Bothroyd, Chopra, Bellamy, Burke, and Olofinjana who've since left which leaves them a lot weaker. Did they have Koumas on loan as well?
Comparing SPL teams to English Football League teams has to be taken with a pinch of salt - if you're looking purely at squad strength, Celtic would be very strong in the Championship. I bet every Championship side (barring Leicester, of course), would take Scott Brown into their midfield and stick Gary Hooper up front. But obviously we don't have a clue how any of the teams North of the border would fare in England, there are so many factors to take into account. The quality of opposition Celtic come up against every week in the SPL is generally only League 1/League 2 standard, and judging by the last 30 years or so, they've done commendably well with that quality of opposition
NEIL DANNS WILL BE ASKING THAT SOON ANYWAY ? Why did i choose to come to Leicester City ? oh yes now i know. my 30K a week wages.
