Not necessarily.
All they've signed thus far is a centre back and they will sign a keeper and Ashley Young, who I reckon is just a luxury.
Now if they were to sign a top class central midfielder, now I reckon they will probably walk it.However I'm not convinced they will,I reckon they will have nothing left in the coffers when they make these three signings.Ferguson won't address the issue.
Modric isn't leaving Spurs.
Snjeider is staying with Inter.
Its going to be harder on United if they don't address their obvious area of weakness. The other sides around them are going to be far far stronger thats for certain, they are also dealing with a different Liverpool to the one they previous dealt with. They however need two central midfielders and not just one.

Morning KPR,

What do you base this on.

So far Liverpool have signed Henderson, woh in my opinion doesn't improve your first 11, you have been linked with Adam who again doesn't improve your first eleven. Good squad players yes but not likely to make a massive impact IMO.

Arsenal and Chelsea haven't had any concrete links whilst alot of their regular first teamers are rumoured to want out ( Arsenal - Nasri, Cesc, Denilson . Chelsea - Malouda & Drogba.

I don't think we can be so sure teams are going to be ' far far stronger' are indeed that we will see a different Liverpool ( maybe not yet anyway ).

Again United don't need 2 central midfields we need one.

KingEric-

I think Liverpool will be stronger next season. This may just be my optimism overpowering realism, but the way i see it is, our strength in depth is vastly improved and that will help us get results.

Last season, we either had young players or the likes of Joe Cole, Jovanovic, Ngog and Poulson to bring on to try and change a game. Those players offered nothing different from the players they replaced, so we had to stick with the same formation, same way of playing that had been contained by the opposition so far in games.

While Adam and Henderson arent world beaters, they are different from Lucas/Spearing/Meireles/Gerrard.

I keep banging on about this, but I do think it will be crucial next season, but Adam is deadly from set pieces. If we are unable to break teams down in open play, it will be a great weapon to have Adam to whip quality corners in and take free kicks. While Gerrard has scored some great free kicks in his time, his tendancy is to try and blast them through the wall. Adam will try and curl the ball over the wall...giving us options. And we have not been good from corners for a long time, so decent balls into the box can only help that. This will free up Gerrard to get in the box, and he is decent in the air.

I admit I havnt seen a lot of Henderson, but I believe he can make the sort of late runs into the box that Gerrard used to and Lampard does for Chelsea, as well as providing more decent corsses and passes.

We still need to strengthen, particularly on the wings and in defence, but Im confident this will be done by August and as a result I really do think we will be closer to United this season
