I don't think we can fix our defensive lapses by tinkering with current personnel so we can only plan on outscoring Boro or indeed any opposition in our remaining fixtures. And while that appears to demand Hugill plays as our only recognized out-and-out striker I would argue that we're better off without him unless we plan on playing a long ball game. Finally, we must play a high tempo as we did in spells against Fulham but I don't think any line-up that includes Amos can properly aim for that. Chances of the Warburton doing any of this...?

None, but I tend to agree.

Would rather see some sort of gung-ho false nine trequartista nonsense than Amos fannying about offering nothing. Hugill needs a break anyway.

Chuck Chair, Shodipo and even Clarke in the and let them have a go.

It looks like we just arent fit enough to play for 90 minutes. The squad suddenly looks thin compared to the beginning of the season. I expect Eze, Samuel, maybe Manning and maybe Chair to leave come next season. There are plenty of clubs who should/could bid for the latter two, certainly clubs with more ambition than ourselves. Next season could be really difficult.

After today's results and more importantly Wigan's administration points deduction, we are probably just going to stay up by the skin of our teeth. What would be nice, though,is a win tomorrow just to quell what little fears we still have. A good result tomorrow might be more important than we think. It might just ignite a better run in.

then maybe will want to prove to them he is as decent striker. I would be happy, if the ball hits him off his kyber pass and flies into the boro net to give us three much needed points...

Lumley back in goal

Yes. Probably a good decision for competiveness between the goalies.

Seems to be a 3-5-2 again.

I am slightly surprised to see Amos start, but no Chair.

Let’s see how MW’s tactics for the match develop throughout the match.

COYR’s!!!

Warburton rims Amos for some reason. Dross player.

Would’ve liked to see the team freshened up. Shodipo deserves a start and no way can Eze and others play every game.

A very strange “Happy Birthday”
message to the NHS from the Kaiser Chiefs before the match.
