Right then, I'll be back tomorrow with a snap view of what i wake up to, and then you can show yours and we can compare, if you man up by then.
Everybody has wage reduction clauses. That's been confirmed. It's simply a matter of can they get a better wage elsewhere. Doubt anybody will be blocked from leaving and I think most will.
I've come to terms with it. If this is what it takes to stop hemorrhaging money and get rid of Short to trigger a new era then so be it as far as I'm concerned. What I don't want is more debt meaning we're stuck with him for longer. It's going to be dull though. Good job there's more to life than football.
That's the bit that annoys me - they'll say "I'm better than the championship" then WHY THE **** DIDN'T YOU PROVE THAT!!! Grrrrr
I would have no qualms with Cattermole and N'Dong staying either as well as those you mentioned - I think Watmore (that we saw at the start of last season) will score goals in that league - just hope he can regain the "ability" after the injury
Can't argue with any of that TBH, excepts i'd get rid of Jones and Cattermole, even though I love his style and commitment, Catts has now become a liability IMO, he's joined the crock brigade. I'd also keep N'Dong if I could, I reckon he is a player for the future and a season or two in the fizzy league will do wonders for his confidence and stamina. Oh, and Rodwell, I just don't see what he offers even if we paid him a fiver a week. Going back a few years now like, but remember it being reported that the reduction for relegation was around 40% that is built into ALL contracts.
He's always been on it really when you look - just think a lot (me included) were oblivious to it as he rarely missed large portions of a season and only missed 2 from 6 games. Do we pay rodwell more than that? ****!
Don't get me wrong mate, Catts is a leader and very inspirational to the squad, but when you look at his record he's probably missed more games than he's played in. Also I think he is part of the problem, along with O'Shea, Larsson, etc. My take is get rid of all the deadwood and crocks, plus the out of contracts and start all over again. If we hang on to them then the problems will persist, we need a clean slate, if that also involves Moyes then so be it.
One thing about Catts is that I think he's been playing with a long term injury for some time and he had the operation for it recently which he's just come back from. Not sure but I think that's the craic. If so then he should be well worth keeping, if it's only a matter of time until the next injury then sell with regret.
Nooooo --I might be positive but only to keep me sane -(coping skill ??) we are down (probably in reality for a while) Moyes needs to give the u23 kids a go now.
Fair enough mate. I was kind of being tongue in cheek anyway. I'm not sure playing the kids is a good idea unless you've resigned yourself to a few seasons in the championship!
I've just resigned myself to relegation mate But seriously is it not ideal time to blood a few, even just on bench , to keep them motivated and show faith in them. Theres only a small widow of opportunity for them and that windows now open this season. We find out if they can cope without dropping further down league. Then we'd know a bit better for our feeder league times who's good enough. Badly feel dour Dave will persevere with the failed set up .
