Yeah Gooch at LB is probably our best bet for the time being. At least we've got a few options for the right side and can afford to switch him.

It's a blow to lose both Stewart and Cirkin on the same night....our two best players imo.
However,we have Wright or Alese, who has played left centre back at his previous club, to come in and we have Diallo to play off Simms.
I hope we stick with the wing back formation....we've played some good stuff.

    Some right fannies on here.
We got beat 1 0, we are going to get hammered a couple of times before the season ends and we are going to have games where it seems as if the team has not turned up.
    It happens to the best.
    Move on, onwards and upwards.

I am not a fan if two out and out centre forwards. I think it makes us too predictable. Going to 433, or 4231, has to be an aim in my opinion, and done right will be a more attacking formation. We will miss Stewart massively, but a chance to get back to a formation that makes the best of our wide options.

It would make more sense I reckon especially with the number of wide players we have in the squad

More disappointed that we could potentially have lost 2 good players up until xmas than to have lost the match last night.

Hopefully we can get Huggins back on the grass soon - he looked decent in the few games he played

Don't think it's as bad as that - between 2 & weeks was Mowbray's estimate. The scans might show zero tear and both back for the weekend

Nice to see Mowbray come over to applaud the away support last night…. <doh> Straight down the tunnel.

Quite correct in what you say, after 5 mins I knew there was only going to be 1 outcome. So I stopped watching. The late withdrawal of Stewart threw all plans out of the window. But as you say onward and upward.

A 1-0 away defeat isn't the end of the world, however its the manner of defeat. I admit I seen nothing of the game as I was at work, but from what I've seen online, were just weren’t at the races, injuries to players and throw the Boro supporting Manager into the mix and it naturally becomes bigger. At some point this season, because of lack of depth, over a 46 game season, we're going to get injuries. Don't be surprised to see midfielders playing CB, strikers in midfield etc. Theres times we could end up threadbare. We're already looking to jiggle 09 and Gooch. We need as many points on the board as possible before that happens. As for last night's game, we just don't see Boro the way they see us. They don't like us, by that I mean their players are always up for it and their fans. However from whom I speak to are not arsed about boro or the fans. Mowbray taking a photo with that little lass wouldn't have raised an eyebrow I'd we'd won. It's clearly going to be when we win Mowbrays alright, when we loose its because he's a smoggy.

Anyone coming up with conspiracy theories about Mowbray engineering a loss should be embarrassed to be honest. To get angry about him taking a picture with a little lass is pathetic, even if we lost 3-0.

I can already see that Mowbray doesn't stand a chance here. It'll end like Bruce in a year or so.

How’s that? He’ll be judged on results. 2 games so far. 1 win and a good performance. 1 defeat and a poor performance. Big game Saturday, let’s see what he comes up with.

Because there's already enough people who have decided he's Boro and after every defeat or run of games without a win, they're only going to get louder. He won't be afforded the time that other managers would be.

Yes and no. We saw what happens when Stewart gets injured in the warm up after training for a game using all of his attributes. If he’s out next week, my guess is that Mowbray will have them working on that style of play without Stewart. One that suits the team picked. Unfortunately we don’t have a like for like for Stewart (and he’s mint, massive miss), but, from a team perspective, when you work on a playing style all week then the focal point of that is missing 10 minutes before the game starts, that’s going to be a nightmare.
