You expected just 6 points this month? Raise your standards a bit!

It's like saying "I'm going to pull two birds this month" and settling for a fat one that weighs the same as two. <laugh>

He's world class, according to Philled of crap Neville, so maybe that's why he's allowed to do that. Well that and the team he plays for, when you consider how many times Shrek has done it too.

Certainly 1st half was 50/50, but second half it was total dominance, they had the odd (not even half) chance.
1st half performance could be down to previous results.. new back 4 and the fact that most teams, at home will give it a go in the first 10-20mins..
They're not a bad team, just looked void of ideas in the final third, defensively they were decent.

They've looked very good defensively all season but failed to really do anything in an attacking sense. From the highlights I thought I saw more from them than I have in most games.

If they can't find a real attacking outlet I think they could well be in for the drop.

Saying that to the boy.. whilst they'll be hard to score against, they don't look like scoring and because of that, I can see them in the mix, at the wrong end of the table come May.

3 points in the bag we're still right up there. Need this Chelsea machine to stall.

Quite a professional performance last night. First half was close but we edged it but the second half was brilliant - took full control. Not sure if it coincided with Firmino changing positions but the attack was far more fluid.

Klavan was really good and covered Milner well, who was terrorised by Traore all night.

Mane was electric and Lallana was my MOTM - wonderful turnaround to his career.

My one gripe is with Henderson - who I thought was so cowardly on the ball. There was one moment when he decided against passing backward or sideways and thought about dropping a shoulder and beating a man - it led to him falling flat on his arse and we lost possession.

Have to give a nod to Lovren as well, although his positioning is still suspect his aggresion and determination has made up for it. With someone covering him he's going after players with the confidence that someone will sweep up but to be fair to him they don't often have to as he wins most of what he goes for. A real hard tackling defender at the moment and deserves some praise.

Can we do better? Well yes but I feel that he playing for the shirt at the moment and that deserves some respect.

Whilst i dont think they have that many special players up front i dont think it helps that karanka is a very defensive managers. Hes not got the most attacking wingbacks, pretty much plays 10 behind the ball and plays 3 dms who arent really creative. No wonder they struggle to score!

agree with all. clyne is all quite funny. henderson 50% of time played ball behind him or forced hi mto check but when he gets it to feet he never goes forward. when players played the abll for him to run onto he does and is really dangerous. quite frustrating bit of safety first there too

Currently watching a re run of the game.

Second half we bossed it but key things to note was we passed it around faster the one touch play is marvelous to watch.

Late run far post were evident as compared to Westham game. This is the reason we got better quality chances

Klopp is slowly getting the balance without coutinho and it involves Origi now allowing Mane through the middle

The over the top ball strategy seems to be our new weapon other than trying to pass through.

Playou like the second half in the Merseyside derby and we have a good chance.

Clyne is really frustrating going forward but he put in a great ball for Lallana. Needs to do more with his end product though (Milner as well).

As MITO and Lamborini mentioned, we played it long a few times. Good mix of passing it short and long.

Firmino drifted centrally which allowed Mane and Origi more space in wider areas to use their pace. Firmino central is crucial IMO.

Got to be better than him wide left as he's simply disappeared in those games.
