We didn't 'wrongly' get on his back. He's been absolute garbage for way too long. He didn't hit the standards we expect of him/he can hit. Glad he played well but it's going to take a lot more to convince me he's the right man for the job. Think he's the worst of the three in midfield by a long stretch.

He was poor/not playing for the second two thirds of the season. Gave the ball away far too often, and for someone who plays a short passing game, was not good enough. Fair play to him though - I will give him credit in that he didnt try to hide in a game.
