Not bad, you've only made 11 posts in the match day thread so far and only one is footie related, guess 1/10 is an improvement

Well, when you have had mods message you stating all match threads are going to remain largely on topic but all other threads can take their own course it makes a mockery of it and Glory wants to be a smart arse with his
"You can expect flack from the this is a football forum clique for taking the match thread off topic. Me, I was only posting on matters relevant to the breakfast thread element of the thread before Adam starts!!!!" so he knows what he is doing.

I've noticed he is getting better and better at goading other members, I think this forum needs renaming, it's not a Leeds United forum, it should be called something like "Glorys Center Stage" as he loves performing on it.

This isn’t the match day thread. Even you should know why?
It is however the breakfast thread and as I understand it is therefore open to general chit chat.

Not need as there is enough room for everyone.
I am going suggest you put me on ignore if my posts offend you. What you quote was an exchange between a couple of members and I want the instigator of it. So be even handed in your criticism.

As a matter of interest how many games do you go to to form your views on the team?

I'm annoyed about this Traore assault thing. Think if I was Eck, I'd make a big point by getting the team to come out for the initial line-up wearing amateur boxing headgear. <whistle>

Wood really came to form after Beattie became our striker coach. Hopefully Lassoga with his early form can benefit from something similar and be even better. Will have to watch what he has for breakfast mind, as he carries a bit more timber than he should.

Too early for breakfast, in recognition of the international nature of this forum, is reference to specific meal time appropriate ? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Is the game going to be on tomorrow with all the "beast from the east" stuff?

The red card being rescinded it does seem that the league are acting unfairly, so nothing new there.

The game is the day after tomorrow isn’t it? Hence why I inadvertently didn’t give the thread the respect some feel I should have.

OK here's my take on this pile of **** thread as an outsider. If you expect other club posters to join in, your doing a bloody good job of turning them off. If you want to talk about football then don't combine the "Matchday Thread" with your usual Breakfast Debate stuff - that is unless you want to talk to yourselves on every thread and piss off everyone else who's invited on here - keep them separate.

When Matt put up the Cardiff City/Breakfast Debate thread and came on our forum to invite us across for a chat, I had to wade through so much off topic **** to get to anything about the game that it was hardly worth the effort and said so at the time.

Most threads across here goes off on random subjects and attempts at "clever" banter to the extent that the football chat becomes irrelevent. Nothing wrong with that - you joust amongst yourselves as much as you like and like minded posters (like me I'll add) will join in and have a good time - but it shouldn't be at the expense of those who want to talk about your team, manager, opposition, tactics and all the other "football" things that a "Matchday Thread" is supposed to be about.

OK, I've said my piece and yeah, yeah, I know it's **** all to do with me, but you've got a good forum with a lot of knowledgeable posters - don't ruin it. <ok>

Ok you have might have a point. The fact it is the match thread escaped me as it’s days till the match, it combined the breakfast thread and by post 8 if I am generous the thread had already gone off topic and I hadn’t posted before that... Not sure singling me out for carrying on the breakfast debate is entirely fair...

Good points. The matchday thread shouldn’t also be a breakfast thread.
I wasn’t the first to fall foul of it today, and reading backthrough previous ones I very rarely am.

See we are getting a bit touchy again.
Suggest that that the match day thread should be completley on its own, I for one do not take it that serious until
Day before the game and run up to kick off.
Why not have a match DAY thread and still have a breakfast debate thread.
