On the upside the sweatties are currently losing to the yanks and the pitch is taking more of a pounding to give Rosler or Malky (our next manager) excuses for failing to win next week.
We had twice as many shots,3 times as many on target and 57% of the ball.Very lucky last season, evened out this season.
As things stand we are in a relegation dog fight.... And some of you thought we had improved. We can't relax till we get 53 points. I would have preferred that to have been in January rather than the April or May it hopefully will be,
Just some of my thoughts... First goal, mistakes all round I know but does anyone else think the keeper should have done better? What a painful game to watch, we played some decent football and I still don't quite know how we lost 3-0 but then if Bamba had put one of his own attempts at an own goal away it could have been worse. We paid big money for Wood and sadly we haven't a plan B if he is suspended or injured. First half too many of our players remained on the ground pretending to be injured when they lost the ball I didn't expect us to get anything from that game, Borough are one of the top 3 fancied teams to go up, let's hope that is all our mistakes out of the way in the same game.
Dont think we played to bad, losing respect with Rosler though with his stupid rotating for no reason. Two matches in a row he changes the back four. Bellusci is not a centre half, cant head the ball. Really think he'd be a better midfielder. Oh well on to Brum and our first home win.
We played well without enough of a cutting edge. Last year we got stuffed and fluked a win and some were raving over a great backs to the wall defensive performance. This year we played the better football and committed suicide. That's football.
Listening to alot of people giving Bellusci stick. I still rate him higher than Bamba. Bamba is by far the worst centre back I've seen for us in many many many a year. He was absolutely diabolical against Brentford, MK Dons and today at Middlesborough (games that I have watched live). I'd tear up his contract today if I was Cellino. I'd take Bellusci and Cooper any day over him ever setting foot on a pitch for us again
At that rate we will be 21/22 points from the playoffs and 21/22 from relegation at the end of the season.. Thee won't be 42/44 points from sixth to the drop zone after game 46. As things stand the only reason for thinking we won't be in the bottom third. Of the table and not in a relegation is blind faith.... Mine has run out.
Its hard to defend him today - however, his last ditch tackling can be up there with some of the best one his day and he has saved us points on his own before. Bamba used to do that, but he is truly dreadful. Enough is enough, he is an absolute aberration. Listening to BBC radio Leeds and whelan wont say a bad word about him though. Bamba was so lucky to not score an own goal today and the third goal... well, I'm just lost for words.
With the first goal, it was almost point blank range. Where was Taylor when the ball was coming down the wing?
Well last season there was 37,so if we were 21 behind the play-offs we would be 16 above the drop zone. And you never had any to start with.
