Mick, see when I'm using my phone, on the 3g, you have to keep refreshing 'til the log in takes. Also, when you're logged in, you have to refresh to see chatbox's updates. It's not the app, it's using the full site.
It's an iphone. the operating system. I don't know which number it was, but it's the one that the maps don't work on
I'm going to hazard a guess that while on 3g, to prevent unknowingly creeping over your data allowance, the browser won't search for data unless instructed like a manual refresh. So as the webpage isn't just refreshing itself in your pocket unknown to you and eating up data. Just a guess like
