How can somebody like Bob Dylan go from Blood On The Tracks and Street Legal to the rubbish that followed!?

I apologise unreservedly for this post. I know you've all heard it and it was shockingly arrogant of me to suggest otherwise. I was a bit pissed.

You really should've asked if anyone had listened to Metal Machine Music, or better yet, listened to the whole thing.

I see Bowie eating peas and gravy/veg stuff in this pic, not baked beans as part of a full English.

I don't see them catching the red eye no way,

(Could this be the inspiration or Station to Station?!?!)

Breakfast on the move
five minutes reserved for us
over dressed some would say
ties and stripes we wear today.
Dave and Mick in the buffet car
oblivious to all sat around
deep in conversation mode
the rest of the world can speed
along...

"Any tickets from Gilberdyke please? Any tickets"

Bowie certainly seems to be enjoying his meat and 2 veg.

Anyone who says the Spiders didn't have the ability to play the Art Rock Bowie gravitated towards in the mid to late 70's is completely wrong.

You don't get voted in the top 30 guitar players of all time by being just a blues rock guitar player.

You only have to listen to Spiders era stuff like Queen Bitch, Life on Mars and Lady Grinning Soul to see the Spiders where more then just a meat and potatoes blues rock band.

When Mott The Hoople played Malcolms in Hull Ian Hunter walked off stage into the crowd and it looked like he was walking past me and he suddenly put my neck in an arm lock and pushed his microphone into my face and got me to sing Honky Tonk Women.

All of it?

I don't see an easy transition from songs such as Jean Genie to 'Fame', 'TV15' or 'Be my wife'.

SFM were very capable musicians but with hindsight it seems Bowie's 'Ziggy' act had become tiresome, and he needed a new career in a new town (parp!)

Most of the good uns re-invent themselves - that's what makes for durability in the musical marketplace. They often shed team members.
Don't recall many castratos(castrati ?) mind :emoticon-0105-wink:
