I think Mick is taking learning and what is happening with the club quite well.

Without being backed, he's having to sign hungry players who are your 7/10 performers. If we went for absolute ballers / passing players that we could afford we'd get spanked most weeks. I know style of play is a main gripe for many but I think he's getting the most out of what this club can offer a manager right about now to be truthfully honest. Many may disagree but that's my opinion.

Seems the academy is producing again for the first time in a while ( well done Keane for getting rid of Klug you utter mong ) so it does appear we may be getting 2/3 into next seasons 22 man squad.

I think time for a few earners to go this summer, promote from within a bit more ( which I think we will this summer ) and go again next year.

I look forward to the £2million bids for players valued at double that just to give the appearance of having money to spend....

...we might as well chuck in a bid of £30 million for Ronaldo ...to look like we really mean business.

I agree with many on this thread. Mick has gone as far as he can & will go,with us or any FC.
As Scowyy says, most older sports managers retreat to their stubborn, orthodox ways, in Micks case we all know and cringe at the hoofball defence mode. But we have seen flashes of more fluent attacking football earlier this season.

Lets all hope the academy starlets are encouraged, nurtured to plan and shine next season. And send Mick on a rejuvenation managerial re-training course! To echo Scowy's good point, our rowing, cycling, sailing, athletics, tennis, boxing, even tobogganing - all old world sports, are the envy of bigger nations; we often do fantastically well and come in at 3rd, 4th in world/cup competitions.
