I've been told appointment is very close, not sure if that means this week or next. Another bit of useful info.
I was tempted today, nearly bunged £200 on Davies at 20/1, but I'm wavering between the two and I still think there's a slim chance that there'll be some completely left-field option that appears from nowhere.
I'll keep that in mind for when some unknown, long-lost relative dies and leaves me a shedload of money
Re my previous entry re Ian Holloway, I know that it's the old man met someone in a car park story. However a friend of mine definitely saw Holloway in Hull yesterday. My friend rang me immediately and told me to get some money on him as a good source also told him that it's Holloway. I pass this on because we are all anxiously bloody waiting. What a coup if it turns out to correct.
My money's on Greg Abbott, can't see it been to popular if it is although it would be nice to see Dennis booth back if he was part of the team
Oddschanger ‏@Oddschanger Contrary to reports that Steve Bruce is out of the running to become the new Hull manager, it looks like the deal is near completion. #HACFC Retweeted by Hull City Fansite Expand Reply Retweet Favorite That has just been on twitter
We've had it on good authority from people on here and some local respect journos that it will not be Bruce.
Quite honestly I have no idea who to believe or who not to believe about any of the names touted as our new manager
Heh same! Im now of the view, it will be who it will be and I'll take it from there. Half the names that keep popping up Ive forgotten who the chuff they are and if they're any good or not anyhow. Though I'd be well chuffed ifs its Bruce or Mick.
whoever it is, i hope the allams have done their homework on the guy. lets face it, they arnt footballing people and have never had to do this kind of thing before. they've only ever appointed one manager before and that was nick.. who I felt was the wrong choice to start with at the time. now hopefully they understand what they have to do and what kind of manager we need to drive the club forwards. its all about experience now.. mccarthy, bruce or davies would be the best we could hope for.
