Given that that was the reason Nick Barmby was sacked it most definitely will be a problem for me because it would mean the fans have been lied to. Again, forever grateful to the Allams for what they have done but does that buy them the right to lie to the fans? (if that's how it turns out)
It certainly doesn't. When I said it won't be a problem I meant the owners wouldn't have a problem with the manager not spending their money, my opinion is that significant money won't be made available for whoever the manager is. I'm hoping they prove that no lies have been told and they back the new manager and everything is rosey but right now I can't see it.
Swanny tweeted that Clark would love the job but as yet he has not been interviewed. Given they said they were interviewing at the weekend that would rule him out. I am very surprised that if they have interviewed anyone, someone has not leaked something out. The silence is deafening from the club all we have had really is newspaper speculation and "we believe they have a short list of two". Don't think anyone apart from the Allams know anything and I suppose that could be because they are no where near bringing a manager in. Of course the announcement could come tomorrow and it could be someone they have had in mind since before they sacked Barmby, just waiting in the wings to be wheeled out when the Allam's see fit.
In response to OLM posting that he does not think either Mad Mick or Brucie will be the next manager.
in terms of names leaking out. think it's safe to say the interviews weren't done at the kc as numerous fans would have seen x y and z about the area. also it is plausible that just the allems conducted the interviews so there would be no room for leaks in that scenario. is it a fact that the new manager will be announced this week? i'm veering towards wigley as the new manager, which would not be a bad option at the end of the day
The more this drags on, the more I have a feeling we'll get someone that hasnt even been linked before.
Agreed. The candidates mentioned just don't seem plausible. Get over it. There's nothing wrong with the thread. If you're bored by it don't look.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18235961 It seems to have changed again, looks like Lpool are now interested in Rodgers again. Some more twists and turns yet, so Bruce may still be in the reckoning if in fact he ever was?!
Robingram02, hello. You have a little link there on your signature, for an online sweet shop. Are you anything to do with the 'Retro Sweet Shop' that has sprung up on Newland Ave (corner of Ventnor Street I think)? This is indeed probably a colossal example of putting 2 + 2 together and getting....twelfty.
Nah I'm not. I generally have nothing to do with anything! I was working for a local company who wanted to start selling sweets and chocolate online so I made them that website using a website builder and I put the link for it as my signature here for SEO purposes, so it appears higher on Google basically (although thats a very small part of the overall SEO). I no longer work for them and could take it off, but i'm nice like that ( I also got loads of free chocolate and sweets whilst I was there, so that may be why i'm being so generous). It's a bit of free advertising on here and it gives them a stable organic link for link building.
Phil Buckingham just tweeted this... Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham Told #hcafc still hopeful of appointing a new manager before the end of this week. Process at an advanced stage. Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham It will not be Steve Bruce, confirmed by a source close to him.
if those tweets are correct - good news that we might finally be able to talk about transfer targets this close season, instead of the mindless just name a potential manager debate most people have got fed up of.
