    Always amazes me that you get some from down there who claim to hate Newcastle United and claim to hate the city, yet they come up here to shop, for a night out, go to the races etc.

    Sky understands Mick Harford has turned down the chance to join Joe Kinnear's staff at Newcastle United.


    Reports over the weekend suggested Millwall first team coach Harford had been offered a position at St James' Park, working alongside Joe Kinnear to improve the club's scouting network in the UK.

    But it now appears that the move has fallen through, with Sky sources saying Harford turned down Newcastle's offer.

    It's thought Harford believed it was the wrong time to move to the club, but he hasn't ruled out a move to Tyneside in the future.

    Mick turned down **** all. The club floated this bull**** and Pardew, even though he has **** all power, said bollocks and threatened to walk and they pulled it. The man was managing in the Conference only four seasons ago, you think he would turn down an easy 'Jobs for the boys' up here? Don't make me laugh

    I don't care why he isn't going to come.
    I am just eternally grateful that he isn't, Kinnear and Harford are just not good enough for our club, well that's my opinion anyway, but obviously not Ashley's !
    I really wonder when this farce is going to end ? Perhaps not until Fat Mike sells up and goes.
    No time soon then unfortunately.

    The only saving grace being that one day he will sell up and we'll get someone in who actually cares for the club and wants to achieve success. He's running the club like his cheap and nasty stores and employing the cheapest options to maximize profit.

    Why on God's earth does Joe (I rule the world) Kinnear need an assistant - I have never heard of an "assistant director of football" role before!
    What could he possibly do that Kinnear doesn't have time for - kiss Ashley's arse? I'm sure Kinnear is quite competent at that role!!

    Maybe Mick was needed to fondle the balls as Joes little arms can't reach while he is rimming him?

    Certainly appears a shadow management team is being created. Maybe Mike didn't insert a clause into that 8 year contract he gave Pards, and has to try to make him quit. Of course it could just be a case of jobs for the boys or Kinnear wanting a trusted person to work with.

    **** knows, I'm not sure I want to understand the method in the madness.

    Do we believe that this MH appointment was a bona fide story?
    Did MH go along with it for a few quid?
