I was agreeing with you in a way Dev. Blighty has a religious leader as head of state and helps cause most of the bother in the world. Off with their heads I say.
The greatest wars (and crimes) in history were started by non religious types I agree, however, racial or religiously motivated wars tend to be dirtier affairs, look at the Middle East, India, Pakistan and even the US, all the bombers tend to be religious fanatics of one shape or another.
They should be hoofed, it probably won't happen in my lifetime but I suspect one day our ancestors will wake up and smell the con that Monarchy has managed to perpetrate for centuries.
She is the head of the CoE , defender of the faith . She is a member if the CoS . She disne give a **** about the Welshies and avoids Northern Ireland like the plague . She is also Britain's best benefits scrounger .

In fairness a lot of vicars and priests are probably aetheists as well - they just pretend to believe in God to get free housing.......
Contrary to annoyingly popular belief, I'm not a Conservative - Friedrich Hayek wrote a good essay 'Why I am not a Conservative' on the difference between Conservatism and (classical) Liberalism, not that any of you ****s will ever read it, but it would save me having to repeat myself quite a bit if you did http://www.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/articles/hayek-why-i-am-not-conservative.pdf
Well actually she is not a "religious" leader . She has never been ordained . Her title is strictly ceremonial , much the same as the rest of her duties . Will that do sonny .
If she's the one who appoints the senior members then that pretty much makes her the capo di tuti capos does it not?
